Description

Peter is a man of precision. As a dedicated veterinary surgeon, his life is governed by schedules, laminated binders, and a carefully curated sense of order. That is, until a plumbing disaster forces a temporary living arrangement with his polar opposite: Benji, the vibrant, chaotic bartender from down the hall. What starts as a two-week favor quickly spirals into a battle of wills played out through snarky Post-it notes, competing kitchen philosophies, and the undeniable chemistry brewing between two men who couldn't be more different. Peter expects his world to return to normal, yet he finds himself completely disarmed by Benji’s messiness, his persistence, and his uncanny ability to dismantle the emotional walls Peter has painstakingly constructed. Over three months of late-night conversations and stolen glances beneath the hallway stove light, the forced proximity turns into something far more dangerous to Peter’s heart. Filled with a menagerie of foster kittens, laugh-out-loud moments, and a tender, slow-burn connection, Whipped! is a heartwarming exploration of letting go of your plans to make room for something better. If you love stories about opposites colliding and finding home in the most unexpected places, this is the perfect contemporary escape.

Hilarious and Deeply Felt

Casey Morales is one of my top 3 favorite MM Romance authors and I always expect his books to be enjoyable, fun, and emotionally rewarding. Well, Whipped blew my mind! IMO, It’s one of his very best books to date! BENJI: I have loved Benji since he was ’hired’ at Barbacks. He’s incredibly entertaining and just so much fun but, in Whipped, we see the softer, genuine, and absolutely lovely character that is Benji Kwon. Peter (and the animals) bring out a side of him that is gentle, vulnerable, trustworthy, and quiet. (Yes, I said ‘quiet’!) PETER: Precious Peter! He is a wonderful character! He’s grief stricken, lonely, very competent, and absolutely devoted to the animals in his care. He has a huge heart with a deep well of love and kindness that he learned to lavish upon his patients and foster animals when he lost the love of his life. For my personal experience, Casey got grief exactly right and expressed well the devastation, numbness, and just LOSS of losing one’s other half. Peter had me deep in my feels from the first moment he was introduced. THE FOSTERS: The way these little guys got under my skin was embarrassing! I don’t cry often when reading but Whipped had me in tears much more often than I care to admit. At one point, my husband was concerned but he laughed uncontrollably when I said, through the hysterical weeping, “The Destiny’s Child kittens are being adopted!” He should have seen me when they visited the zoo!! Casey brilliantly uses the animals to tell…
