Description
Three years after leaving her homeland to train with the elite Leopard unit, Myrine returns to Apasas carrying the heavy mantle of a Captain. Though she is a master of the blade, she is ill-equipped for the emotional battlefield awaiting her at home. Ordered to secure her city against the encroaching shadow of the Mycenaeans, Myrine intends to keep her focus sharp and her heart guarded, especially against the woman she left behind.
Kynna, meanwhile, has carved out a new life as a priestess of Rhea, awaiting the birth of her child and finding solace in her spiritual duties. Yet, as the Mycenaean noose tightens around their city, Kynna realizes that safety is a dwindling resource. Desperate, she summons Myrine, only to be met with a cold, distant woman accompanied by the ghosts of their past.
As the city of Apasas erupts into chaos, the two women are forced to confront the smoldering embers of their shared history. Amidst the carnage of war and the shifting tides of power, Myrine must decide if she can protect her people without sacrificing the one thing she feared to lose: Kynna. It is a tale of shifting loyalties, buried passion, and the fierce resilience of the heart.
