sweet supernatural friends to lovers romance
A warm and sweet friends to lovers romance in a supernatural setting where this particular pack of wolves owns and runs a bakery, and are trying to break from traditions. Of course, there is trouble brewing in the background, as not everyone things the same, and while it is an important plot point, it is Sera and Parisa's relationship that drive the story.
It is enjoyable and cute, not overly complex and low angst, and I look forward to seeing what else is in store for this pack. Sera and Parisa are an adorable couple, and they have a strong pack with them.
3.5⭐️. Sweet and cozy sapphic romance. Interesting take on werewolf dynamics and pack structure. Sera’s journey to find her strength and confidence in herself is angsty and rewarding. Pari’s journey to open up and find the strength in others and her pack that truly makes her stronger. Love is not weakness, it makes you stronger than you ever thought possible.
Slowburn werewolf romance
I enjoyed this wholesome werewolf romance. It was more of a slowburn than I was expecting, but I felt like it worked well. This was an interesting take on the whole werewolf concept and I liked it. Lemon didn't get too bogged down in all the nitty gritty and details of how everything worked, but from what they showed us it was an interesting take on an old classic.
I loved Sera and Parisa. They were so wholesome and sweet, even when things got spicy. I do wish that Lemon had explained what the little terms of endearment that Parisa uses with Sera meant. I had to google, and it suggested she was speaking Uzbek, but google can't always be trusted. I also liked the all the side characters that float through the book. Although I was left curious as to what exactly Hugh was.
There is no third act breakup as they don't get together until the third act really. There was still plenty of things going on to drive the plot, but this is definitely more of a slowburn than a lot of werewolf romance books with all the insta-love stuff.
I like the premise but the execution was bad. So much of the story is just fluff. Little conversations. That aren't important. Sera despite being a wolf for decades has no self confidence. And despite 'supposedly'having a close bound with her Alpha they don't actually communicate very well.I think the world building could have been better. There were a lot of wasted threads. The parts with Jo and Seras memory problems were a waste of time. And for a small pack of 11 there was so much worry about tradition and what others would think. Like why? Also This is a pet peave but I think Alpha duels are stupid because wolves just don't do them. They fight together as a pack not one on one with some outsider wolf. It's like Pari and Sera care so much for the pack but the pack doesn't back them up? Any way I wanted to skim so much of this book. Like I said it was a good premise but the exacution could have been written better.

The cozy family and friends dynamic was warm and heartfelt. Full of little subtle moments.
I do wish a bit more of the world was fleshed out. There are pieces about how Werewolves function, but also a lot unexplained, such as how one becomes a wolf, and the transitions involved with them.
Over all nice read. 4/5
