So much more then I expected it to be
I’ve had this book on my kindle for a long time. I keep putting it off because I’m not a huge fan of 3rd person pov. I’m not sure why I decided to give it a try but I’m so glad I did, because this book is so good. Right from the beginning I was pulled in with the fathers POV about his experiment and the more I read the more I was invested. Adam and Noah are amazing together and they balance each other so well. I love the whole criminal minds aspect and can’t wait to read all the bothers books because I’m invested now!

Adam and Noah are so wickedly precious!
3rd person/dual pov
Spice: 4/5
I'm so glad that I finally got around to starting this series. My bestie kept telling me to read it and I kept putting it off but not anymore. I chose to listen to it because she also raved about the narrator and boy she was not wrong. With it being in 3rd person it made it easier for me to listen to it vs reading it on my kindle. I'm not a huge fan of 3rd person unless it's written incredibly well, but I can listen to it just fine. I'll be honest though from what I heard I'm sure I could have read it and been ok even if I thoroughly enjoyed the audiobook.
Adam and Noah are absolutely precious! I love the storyline of Adam's adoptive father training him and his adoptive brothers to hone what makes them different into a weapon that is used to rid the world of evil. It gives you that vigilante feeling that we love about superhero stories without them being actual superheroes. So we still get the bad boy he's just more of a "good" bad boy lol. Then we have sweet and adorable Noah. This poor guy has been through it let me tell you and he stole my heart straight away. I just wanted to wrap him up and hold him my heart hurt so much for him throughout this book. But the way Adam takes care of him and protects him had me and Noah both swooning. None of these brothers are supposed to be capable of love due to being psychopaths but of course, I don't believe that's possible. They may not be as quick to fall as the rest of us with a more normal brain…
How can this author make psychopaths so damn lovable? This book is full of such witty dark humor and the most delicious romance. This may become my newest addiction!
Adam, despite being incapable of love and empathy, was super sweet and somehow his possessiveness of Noah was absolutely endearing. The connection between these two was instantaneous. The communication between them was just 💋🤌🏻. I loved each swoony interaction, each moment of mine mine mine! Adam mends all of Noah’s broken pieces back together with his obsessive support. It’s adorable and so 🔥🔥🔥 at the same time. Then you add in the kissing, the foreplay, the kink … and the cuddling?! 🤯 Damn.
The found family dynamic with each of the brothers and their father is just fascinating. Each of them already have such distinct personalities. I cannot find words to express how excited I am to read each of their stories. Because I am hooked on this series already. 100% irrevocably hooked!

Adam and Noah were perfect for one another i have not read a dark romance in a while but this one checked all the boxes. Onley james did a great job writing this book and I can't wait to continue the series.

I kept seeing all the Neceassary Evil books recommended in the various bookclubs I'm apart of, but kept putting them off...
Well, I finally caved and I'm pleseantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the book. There's so many layers to the characters and story that you simply fall into it and can't put it down!
Though, I must admit I have a few questions...
1) What happened to Noah's trailer? In a way, the trailer represented Noah's freedom for his previous life and he was adament about keeping. Now, Adam did mention he could have the trailer moved, but was it?
2) And Beth, she was Noah's work BFF, will she make any future appearances or is she now just a footnote in the beginning of Noah's story? She was his only true "friend" - along with her girlfriend - that he allowed into his life, that it's a bummer that nothing else was mentioned of her.
All that being said, I do want to mention, that as out there as the ending was, it actually kinda reminded me of the A-Team movie (with Bradely Cooper)... If you've seen it you'll know what I'm talking about. :D
