Kelex never writes a bad book and Two Wild Hearts is just another amazing example. I have loved every instance with Em in the previous books and was so excited that he was next to get his HEA.
Em and Dash have to work so hard for their HEA. We saw their first meeting in Harrison’s book but then we get Em’s perspective of it & omg the tension is immediate. Then we fast forward to the present and these two have not stopped thinking about each other. Em and Dash are both alphas and it’s illegal for them to be together but thankfully for us, that doesn’t stop them. Both Em and Dash are struggling with things, similar things and also different issues they both have going on. I cried, A LOT, while reading their story. Kelex even mentioned that they ugly cried while reading and I should’ve prepared myself better. These two were so perfect together and this is dramatic, I know, but I feel like I’m never going to move on.
Everything about this story had what I’ve come to expect from Kelex. An incredibly emotionally moving story where you fall in love with the characters immediately and just want them to get to their HEA. But add in a little or a lot of pain along the way 😂 If you haven’t read a Kelex book, you need to! I am not afraid to beg!!
Alpha- and self acceptance
Each story is this series keeps me waiting another one. Getting a look at larger family dynamics is also enjoyable.
Ya'll, I have been waiting for the next book in this series for a while and that wait was soooo worth it!!!
In Two Wild Hearts our MC's have a bit of a grumpy/grumpy vibe going on but they have every reason to be grumpy when those they are attracted to could end them up in jail, or worse. These two were explosive and dynamic and also had a push and pull that I loved! They didn't get together right away, there was so much tension between these two and even though in the beginning they didn't know each other or knew what the pull meant, they still respected each other and kept their boundaries...
Until Dash's new investigation lands him in the middle of an outlawed club during a raid with no escape... ((Cue Emerson saving the day!)
I really enjoyed reading this book, I thought the characters were fantastic and I adored seeing past characters make appearances throughout this story. I also enjoyed the investigations that were described throughout the story, I loved having all those little details and to have been taken on a journey as Dash tried to solve the massive case he was working on.
I'm not sure if there are more books planned for this universe but I would be very happy if there were some more! I just think this world is so unique and the twist on Alphas/Betas/Omegas/and now hybrids, is really interesting!!
Overall, a really fantastic book!!

Two Wild Hearts is the fourth book in the Alphas of the Western Provinces series. In my opinion this series is best read in order. This is the story of Emerson and Dashiell (Dash). I loved the characters and world building that went into this book and series. I fell hard for these two. They had so much to work through. The blurb does a great job of letting you know what the story is about. There is so much emotion packed into this story. I love how Kelex brings the story and characters to life. I would definitely recommend this book and series as 5 star reads.
Unique spin on the A/B/O world
I've enjoyed every book in this series and in the larger world! This book has a unique spin on the A/B/O world. Without any spoilers, Emerson and Dash are two alphas who are attracted to each other in a province where it is illegal and can result in lifetime imprisonment. Still, the compulsion to be together is irresistibly strong - almost like a mating bond. The romance develops along the backdrop of missing alphas and arson investigations. I look forward to more from this world!
