Description

Marty Waters is perfectly content tucked away in his quiet world of computer troubleshooting and local history. He isn't the type to chase thrills, but when a young boy vanishes from their town, Marty finds he cannot stand on the sidelines. Armed with a knack for patterns and a database full of town secrets, he forces his way onto the investigation, hoping his niche skillset can crack the case. Officer Grant Webster has no room for civilians in his crime scenes, particularly not when he's busy steering his K-9 partner, Dexter, through high-stakes searches. He finds Marty’s interference annoying—at least, that’s what he tells himself. But as the duo begins to overlap on missing persons cases, the icy barrier between the stoic cop and the tech-savvy history buff begins to thaw. When the stakes escalate and more children go missing, the professional line starts to blur into something much more intense. Faced with mounting danger and the pressure of a ticking clock, Marty and Grant must decide if their undeniable chemistry is merely a byproduct of the adrenaline, or if they’ve stumbled upon a partnership meant to last long after the case is closed and the children are safe.

an action packed story….

This action packed tale is amazing and gripping ! A serial kidnapper is wreaking havoc on the small town and 4 boys, were taken and terrorized. Marty had the clues that saved the day, and offered to be a foster parent. Grant and his K-9, Dexter, played a huge part in the rescues, at every new situation. The story is sharp, thrilling and heartbreaking as we follow the investigation and the outcomes. I thought the police, the town and the help was well written, moving along as they tried to find the “bad man.” We were glued to our seats and we felt like it was a griping movie. Andrew Grey has so much talent to weave his tales that hold our attention. The men are wonderful and the slow burn was rewarded. We get a marvelous HEA. ENJOY ! ====

Family, healing, romance, love

This story deftly handles the trauma of child abduction with rescue, healing, new love, and a new family. I enjoyed some of the historical society research background. The healing journey of the boy seemed realistic and heartwarming. It was engaging to watch the case be slowly solved, clue by clue. This is a comfortable, beautiful romance with a very satisfying HEA.

Great Addition to the Series

A well crafted storyline manages, some tense scenes, some drama and a slowly developing relationship all work together when supported by good character development. Ends on a positive note, with a promise for a future HEA.
