Brilliantly written! Haunting and divinely romantic. A must read!

"This and Every Life" is a surprisingly original, out-of-the-box masterpiece. So haunting that a week after finishing the book, I had to read it again. So original in concept. From the first book of hers I read, "Firefly", I was captivated and have read every one since. Emmy Sanders is becoming one of my very favorite romance authors.

I really, really wanted to love this.

I adore Emmy Sanders. She wrote one of my top two favorite contemporary books, "How to Catch a Firefly". But, I'm just not a fan of short stories. I love long ones where you really get to witness the characters, even if she linked them together, I just started to root for them and then the story switched. It's like playing musical chairs and someone pulls a chair away... The glimpses you do get are beautiful, the prose is amazing as always, each part could easily be its own novel and not detract from what she was trying to accomplish with the main plot run through each, even if you did have your favorite characters... Read it, she deserves all the support... it just wasn't my favorite for personal preferences... she is an artist and has a right to design as she's fit, from one writer to another. Art is.

Another sweet couple to fall in love with while watching them fall.

Emmy Sanders doesn't miss. I love the series that are sweet, popcorn stories but when she write stories about deep abiding love it's "chef's kiss." I was a bit nervous about the story once I got a few chapters in because I was afraid there would be a lot of struggle and hearbreak, there is a bit of that but doesn't consume the book. I love how their story transcends time, that's the sweetest part to me because a lot of us envision having a love like that.

Breaks you and puts you back together!

I went into this book blind not knowing anything about it. It literally will rip your heart out and put all of the pieces back together. The emotions to happy, sad, then back to happy has it all over the place. Please read this. I wish I could read it over again for the first time. Narrations was great, Emmy Sanders out did herself on this book.
