Description

Micah has always lived a life defined by borders, but the shadows of an enchanted forest hold secrets that threaten to shatter his carefully constructed world. When he encounters a mysterious, enigmatic man amidst the ancient trees, the spark of an unlikely romance forces him to confront truths about his own heart he has spent a lifetime suppressing. This is not a simple love story. As their magnetic connection intensifies, the two men are drawn into a web of dark magic and hidden agendas. They soon discover they are being hunted by an ominous, encroaching force that seeks to weaponize the very emotions they are fighting to protect. Betrayal lurks in the periphery, and the deeper Micah descends into this labyrinth of forbidden desire, the more he realizes that surviving this ordeal requires more than just strength—it demands the terrifying vulnerability of unconditional love. Jasmyn Morning weaves a high-stakes tale of passion, peril, and the shadows we carry within. In a world where trust is a luxury he cannot afford, Micah must decide if the gamble of his own soul is worth the promise of a future burning with a heat he never dared to imagine.

Descriptive

The beginning reminds me of Stardew Valley, except instead of a farm you get sent to a magical forest where a pretty elf guy wants to have sex with you. Terrible things then go on to happen. There’s formatting issues every so often, which can sometimes make it difficult to tell who is talking, but not enough to render it unreadable. The MM Asian influence is strong in how the men are portrayed. It is a very pretty book: Lot’s of description of just about everything. The sex scenes are brief, vague, and borderline flowery–which is either very good or very bad depending on personal preferences. Overall, a good read.
