Superior writing and superior story telling.. Must Read
In this series conclusion book, Tiffany Reisz manages to make you cry, laugh, feel, and love. This book starts where The Virgin left off. We find our sinners in Scotland at an extravagant 8th circle wedding. After the ceremony, Nora follows Soren into the chapel and asks him to hear her confession.
“Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned”
We finally learn the story of how Eleanor became Nora. After leaving the convent broke, homeless, and heartbroken, she returns to Kingsley. We see her explore her sadistic side and become a dominatrix while nursing her early writing career.
"And here I thought you were just a writer who liked extra whip in her coffee.”
“I like extra whip in my everything.”
Do you think you know what love is? Do you think society's traditional representation of family defines it? Do you think someone may love only one person with all their soul? Soren will prove you wrong.
"If I knew I would die tomorrow I’d spend all night telling you and Kingsley how much I love you both, and I wouldn’t let God take me until I was certain you knew I meant every word. I would sing it to you like the angels sing praise to God in heaven— unceasingly.”
While the book is titled after our queen Nora, it is our God Soren that steals the book. It is not without heart squeezing moments that we learn of Nora's rise to underground royalty without Soren. And it is with tears that we come to realize the depth of love Soren has for his Little One and Kingsley. Everything and…

Hate That It's The End, But It Was One Great Ending
All stories must come to an end regardless of how much you wish it wouldn’t. But if it’s going to end, let it be an ending that is fit for an amazing series that has stayed with you from the very first book to the last and is reflective of all that you have loved about said series. The Queen by Tiffany Reisz, the conclusion to The Original Sinner series, has spectacularly done so and with a bang, both of the emotional and sexy variety.
The Queen has done what all predecessors (both the Red and White Years) has done: provided a beautiful written story combining the emotional with the kink. In previous books, you have read the birth of Søren and Kingsley as we have come to know them in the Red Years. Now with The Queen, we finally come to the birth of Mistress Nora Sutherlin. Reisz managed to go beyond telling the story of becoming one of the most infamous (and wanted) dominatrixes in New York. At its core, it’s the story of a woman trying to find a way to live her life on her own terms at the expense of giving up her greatest love. You read of her trying to be a strong independent woman while trying to resist the pull of the one man with whom she would willingly submit to. Who couldn’t sympathize and possibly even relate to Nora’s situation? You are hard-pressed not to be engrossed in Nora’s turmoil, especially knowing the history (and eventual future) she has with Søren and Kingsley. Even though you know how it all resolves, reading the journey Nora undertakes makes it all…

A Five Star epic conclusion
Review also posted on Back Porch Reader blog and goodreads.
Words nearly escape me. Nearly, she said…She’s a liar.
This series began for me back in early 2013 and I have followed along eagerly anticipating each new book and each related novella and short offered like an attention-starved puppy. This is also the only of its kind where I’ve bought both e-book and paperback because I needed to feel the pages under my fingertips.
With the first four books we learned of the existence of a kingdom. With the last four we learned how it was built and how it sustains, even when it comes so close to crumbling. The other accompanying stories offer additional insights, sometimes begging more questions, sometimes rounding off some jagged edges. Honestly, how all of these pieces fit together—in all of the twists and turns in this epic tableau of sin and virtue, pain and healing, love and redemption with parallels to Dante, Lewis Carroll, biblical scripture, chess, and god knows what else sometimes wearing kilts—all this is what leaves me nearly speechless in its genius.
These books weren’t my first in the land of erotica. But, they were among my first that were so smartly written with gorgeous prose and imagery that encouraged me on my quest to seek more.
With The Angel, I was introduced to my first male/male romance story and it was a gateway that opened up this genre of Romance and Erotica to include so many more amazing stories involving people of more walks of life.
These…
They have each other. That is the point of this amazing story and thrilling series. 5 huge stars
Can it really be over? Have we really come full circle between the red and white years? I could read more and more of this series forever. Soren, King, Nora, Griffin, Wes, et all. I'm sold and will forever bow to the magic of Tiffany's writing.
This is the story of how Eleanor, how Elle became Mistress Nora, Queen of the 8th circle. After a year in hiding, she is ready to discover her dominant side and indulge her writing gift.
Whether Nora is in her submissive role, dominant role or her all female role, she handles herself with intelligent humor and has a way of power even during the dark times. She is force to be reckoned with, and when the chess pieces all fall in place, the player controls the game. Who is the player and who are the pieces? Only the readers will know after reading this extraordinary series that should be read by all fans of smart, erotic fiction.
"'To her lover, a woman is a delight. To a monk she is a distraction. To a mosquito she is a good meal.' With him, my priest, I was all of the above-a delight, a distraction and dinner. He lost a lot when he lost me."
Soren, you made me hate you, love you and understand you throughout the books. You were someone that I couldn't always connect with, but in the end, you were everything.
Nora, You made me laugh and you made me cry. You filled the holes with humor and light, but knew when you had to grow and be serious. You were the glue to all the characters.
Kingsley, there are not enough words to describe…

'The Queen' brings everything full-circle. Going from the present-day wedding of Griffin and Michael, then jumping back in time to re-tell parts of Nora's story during her time apart from Soren, I am amazed by the complexity of this story. Even though the content had all been covered, loosely, in earlier books in the series, reading Nora's account added a new perspective. Like another piece in a complicated puzzle, each book in this series unveils details and truths that were previously hidden. Little by little, it all comes together.
This book covers multiple time periods, but focuses predominantly on Nora's time training and working as a dominatrix. Nora's emotional state and motivations for leaving Soren are explored more closely this time around. Surprisingly, she maintained a closer, albeit strained, relationship with Soren than I had imagined during their estrangement.
As with earlier books in this series, I continue to be awed by the dynamics of the relationships between the multiple characters. Soren, Nora and Kingsley are especially intriguing. The love, trust and intimacy is almost tangible between all of them. I've never read another story where the author was actually able to pull off a storyline based on polyamory in a believable, sincere manner. Yet, time and again, Ms. Reisz makes it work.
This time around, I did find myself a little vague on some of the details from previous books. It'd been awhile, so I had to refresh myself on some of the details…
