Description

Callum Walker makes his living as a professional killer, serving a shadowy agenda by day while hunting predators who harm the vulnerable by night. But his precise world tilts sideways when he misidentifies his next target: Ryan Fairview, a fastidious, neurotic small-town mortician. Callum breaks into Fairview Funerals intent on execution, only to discover that Ryan isn't an ordinary funeral director—he’s a medium who communicates with the departed. The confrontation takes a surreal turn when Ryan realizes that Callum is tethered to the restless, vengeful spirits of the men he has killed. For a man surrounded by the dead, seeing Callum’s spectral entourage is off-putting, but it also creates an unlikely common ground. Ryan has the ability to help silence the ghosts that plague Callum’s conscience, provided he can get past the minor detail of Callum’s attempted homicide. As these polar opposites are forced into an uneasy orbit, they navigate a fragile, tension-filled dynamic built on bloodshed and the paranormal. Between Callum’s impulsive charm and Ryan’s stubborn, clinical detachment, they must decide if an unlikely partnership can bloom into something more, or if one is destined to bury the other. A dark, atmospheric MM romance set in the Silent Hollow universe, this story explores the thin, jagged line between salvation and destruction.

A must read!

This MM dark romance became one of my favorites quickly. While the chapters are short, the character development is top tier (and I became obsessed with them and their growth), the enemies to lovers trope was beautiful, and ugh just read it and experience the amazing book that this is.
