Description

Eudocia has spent her life perfecting the art of deception. As a celebrated illusionist, she thrives under the spotlight, weaving spells that mesmerize crowds and satisfy her hunger for the stage. Yet, behind the velvet curtains and the glitter of her act, she is haunted by a relentless insomnia that drains her vitality and leaves her tethered to a weary, fragmented existence. Ava is a creature of the night—a Shade who exists between the folds of reality. Creatures like Ava rarely cross the threshold into the human world, but a mysterious pull has anchored them to Eudocia’s flat, trapping them in a state of watchful observation. What began as an inexplicable compulsion to linger quickly transforms into a profound, yearning connection. As they haunt the periphery of Eudocia’s waking hours, Ava finds themself unwilling to ever return to the silent void. When the ethereal figure from Eudocia’s most feverish, elusive dreams manifests in her home, the boundaries between performance and truth begin to dissolve. To embrace this newfound companionship, Eudocia must confront her deepest vulnerabilities and finally step into the authentic life she has long denied herself. This is a story of transition, intimacy, and the magic found in the shadows.

Beautiful Romance with a Stunning Cover

Absolutely Loved this story, fantasy Monster Romance with a shadowy twist. This was a really sweet love story. With just the right touch of spice. Also I know we're technically not supposed to judge books by their covers, but this particular story. Has such a gorgeous one. I went ahead and purchased a paperback copy for my book collection as well.

Super cute sapphic romance short story!

The Magician & The Night was a super quick, super cute & spicy read! I liked it a lot. I especially liked the shapeshifting body parts! (iykyk) I think that this story flowed really well given the fact that it is super short. Sometimes super short stories feel rushed, but this one did not! All of the books in this series are written to be able to be read as stand alones. So this is the first book that I am reading from the series. That being said, I definitely want to read the books before this one now! I definitely recommend this story if you love sapphic romance, and short stories that are paced really well, super cute, and pretty spicy! I will definitely be checking out more of Emma’s books!
