Description

For seven years, Alex Lytton has lived for a single purpose: retribution. He has meticulously plotted his path, waiting for the perfect moment to deliver justice for his past. But as the mission reaches its explosive climax, he finds his resolve shattered by an unexpected complication—his growing love for Josiah Raine. Trapped in the treacherous, unforgiving landscape of Ghost Eye City, Alex is forced into a high-stakes masquerade. To deceive a lethal enemy, he must submit to their dangerous whims, transforming his life into a knife-edge game where a single misstep means oblivion. Meanwhile, Josiah is fighting his own desperate battle, dismantling a web of killers while shielding Alex from the encroaching shadows of a history that refuses to stay buried. As they venture into the murky, hidden depths of the Lost Zone, a long-forgotten secret threatens to drown them both. With their futures hanging in the balance, Alex is faced with an impossible ultimatum: finalize the vengeance that has defined his existence, or choose the man who has finally given him a reason to live. In this gripping installment of the Dark Water series, the currents are deadly, and the price of survival is love itself.

Keeps getting better

I'm going to be so disappointed when I finish this series. I've lived in this world for over a month and I'm going to miss it.

The Lost Zone

We're almost at the end of this wonderful series and yet I am no closer to even suspecting who might have killed Elliot. I mean, every time someone is brought forward as a suspect, they're almost immediately cleared. I'm beginning to think Elliot killed himself! But not really because the gun was removed from the scene before police arrived. Alex finally revealed another secret, but it didn't help uncover who Elliot's murderer is. Although it did help Josiah when Alex got into trouble. Now if he'll just tell Josiah his last secret. Maybe it holds the clue needed to catch the killer. And poor Alex is so very broken that I'm beginning to fear that Josiah's love won't be enough to heal him. And they both deserve to be happy after everything they've been through. Is it wrong of me to want to see George Tyler brought low for his treatment of Alex? To want to see him lose everything he holds dear? To, maybe, even wear Alex's ID tag?

A page turner

Wow, the more I read, the deeper the plot sinks into my brain. Twists and turns abound, leaving me wondering where this story can go from here. Another book hangover is coming up with book 4.

Dark, Gripping M/M Romance

I absolutely devoured this four-book series. I started last Wednesday and could barely tear myself away until I finished today. These books pulled me in so completely that everything else in life had to wait. The story is a dark, gripping M/M romance set in a vivid dystopian future. The world-building is both brutal and beautiful, the characters complex and unforgettable, and the emotional tension is intense from start to finish. The romance is raw, tender, and sometimes heartbreaking, but always compelling. If you enjoy dark romance, dystopian settings, and a love story that burns through every obstacle in its path, this series is a must-read. I’m already wishing there were more books in this world.

Book 3 delivers in spades.

First you must read the first 2 books before diving into this one. My heart is breaking. The love story between Joe and Alex is just meeting so many road blocks I'm scared they won't move forward. I also trust Xanthe not to do that to me. The mystery is driving me crazy.. I want to know who killed Elliot Dacre, who seems a pretty pathetic and harmless man, despite serving Alex up to Neil on a platter. Also I desperately want Tyler to pay for Solange's murder. I can't wait for book 4.. This series is a must read.
