I will give this book a 4\5. I really enjoyed it. This book us about Mike, a teacher, and Elliot, a lineman. Thus is the story of how they met and fell in love. Of course they had some help. Mike's horny dog likes Elliot before Mike. So Mike has to catch and get to know Elliot. There is no cheating , knotting, or alpha/omega dynamic in this story. It is about two men and how they come to terms about how they feel about each other.
If you need a book that kicks off with a laugh, get this one. There is typical Casey humor spread throughout this book that makes you LOL no matter where you are listening or reading. Though I believe the supporting cast may need a book of their own. I mean, Mrs. H and her no-filter speaking. Then there is Homer (the doggo) that really knows how to introduce himself enthusiastically to the hottie helping Mrs. H! I feel for Mike having to teach "spawns of Satan", Bless his heart. He is dedicated to teaching and works hard to make sure he gives his students the best he has to give. Elliott, gosh, he is a bear of a man that makes sure the lights stay on, and the AC keeps running. Yep, he is a lineman. Now I work in this industry which, after this book, makes me giggle when I pass one of them at work or on the road. I can't get the picture of Homer introducing himself out of my head when I see one of our linemen. Anyway, Casey delivers yet another book that is filled with humor, sweetness, found family, and a HEA that makes you smile.

This book was a lot of fun. Don't be discouraged by the very intense looking cover; this is a very funny, banter-y rom com. The characters were fun, the dog was cute, and Mrs.H should not be left unsupervised.
However, there are some plot fails in this book that threw me off. The dog is a plot muppet who isn't around when it's inconvenient (such as for an overnight stay), and one character's broken leg just.... magically stops being a problem? As in, they went on a hike in the woods a week after it was broken with no mention of a cast, boot, or crutches? If you can get past these (and other) plot holes, this is a fun book. I overall enjoyed it and will continue to read this author.

A teacher, a lineman, and dog named Homer
An English teacher takes his dog for a walk, and we get the funniest “meet cute” ever. Two men who might never have met are suddenly dragged together by a dog with no sense of propriety. Casey Morales has a gift, an absolute gift for writing the spiciest MM romance that also is humorous, heartwarming, and sweet. Elliot and Mike are endearing; their friends are the kind we all want, except perhaps a certain older widow who serves haggis and has no filter. Whether it’s helping out LGBTQ teens in need of support or facing hurricanes, you’ll be glad you are along for the ride. This one is pure gold! Thanks, Casey!
Sweet story, funny and heartfelt ❤️
This book is fun. But it's also really deep and sweet. Parts of it were heartbreaking. Not between the MCs but from outside things. They're so freaking precious together. Mike is hilarious. Elliot is sexy and charming. I love his friends and Mrs H. Their little found family.
