Description

Amanda Thorne is the formidable titan of architecture, an intimidating visionary who commands the boardroom with clinical precision. Yet, beneath the blueprints and high-stakes deadlines, she feels an inexplicable creative drought. That is, until a series of anonymous, breathtaking sketches begins appearing on her desk—designs so brilliant they capture the very essence of her own soul. Amanda becomes obsessed with identifying the ghost collaborator hiding in plain sight among her employees. Megan Foran is that ghost. A junior assistant paralyzed by past trauma, she possesses a towering intellect that she is too terrified to claim. She worships Amanda from behind a veil of office coffee runs and organized files, secretly fueling her boss’s latest masterpiece with her own anonymous output. As the sketches bridge the distance between them, a high-voltage attraction ignites. Amanda finds herself falling for both the mysterious artistic genius and the quirky, stuttering girl who handles her schedule, unaware that these women are one and the same. Caught in a web of her own deception, Megan must decide if the thrill of being seen—and kissed—by her idol is worth the inevitable collapse of her carefully constructed lies when the truth finally comes to light.

sweet read

I loved this story. Found myself relating so much with Megan concerning her fears and quirks. This definitely a ‘read again’ book for me.

It was cute.

Megan’s lack of self esteem drove me absolutely crazy. I can understand why she struggled but it would’ve made more sense for deeper issues to have taken root because of worse things happening. Amanda was perfect. I really enjoyed her character throughout. Overall, it was a cute book and a quick little read.

A fast read

The concept was a good one, there just didn't seem to be any chemistry between Amanda and Megan. Their relationship was more like two women who have been together for 30 years than two women who are just starting out. lol
