Description

Elena thought she had survived the worst of her life. After the wreckage of a toxic divorce and the daily uphill battle of raising two resentful children, she is barely keeping her head above water. Her career is her only sanctuary until she meets Julianne, a powerhouse executive whose cool, calculated exterior masks a magnetic intensity. As their paths collide in a high-stakes corporate environment, the rigid lines between mentor and muse begin to blur. This is a story of profound transformation. Elena is a woman rebuilding her shattered confidence, and watching her find her voice amidst the stress of professional pressure and personal upheaval is deeply moving. The chemistry between her and Julianne is electric, fueled by a complex power dynamic that keeps the tension simmering until it finally boils over. When the drama spills into the boardroom, the satisfaction of seeing justice served is as rewarding as the intimate, slow-burn romance that develops behind closed doors. This book captures the grit of mid-life reinvention and the intoxicating pull of an age-gap connection. It is a raw, psychological journey through healing, reclaiming one’s worth, and discovering that the most unexpected opportunities often arrive when you feel you have nothing left to lose.

what family looks like.

Your life has fallen apart, divorced from a narcissist, 2 angry children with behavior issues thinking their mother doesn’t care. You’ve been through 4 nannies in 18 months the last leaving with no notice just leaving the kids with your 74 year old doorman or is he 78 doesn’t matter you now have another problem to resolve. Then there’s your job as CEO resolving everyone else’s problems. Amazingly you found the perfect new nanny the kids love her, she taken you sterile condo and made it feel like a home. Everything is better than fine until your narcissistic ex husband threats to petition the court for full custody because you’ve fallen in love with the nanny. Everyone should find a partner like Chloe. Someone who sees, supports, accepts you with your faults. Great book. Loved the characters especially Leo and Daisy.

This was very cute.

Elena’s growth throughout the book was great. The little details like the shaking hands and forgetting to eat really helped flesh out how stressed out she was. Daisy and Leo stole my heart. This was a great book.
