Description

Wren Sullivan thought surviving the initial clash of starfire and betrayal was the hard part, but her true trial has only just begun. Thrust into the heart of the treacherous pixie realm, Wren finds herself a pawn in a dangerous political game. The Council view her as a volatile enigma—a human who defies their magic—and they are determined to see her broken or erased. To stay alive, she must survive a series of lethal trials that demand the absolute limit of her courage, intellect, and sheer will. Caught in the crosshairs is Raven Nightshade, whose midnight wings and fierce heart have become the center of Wren’s world. The Council knows that their bond is a weakness, but they underestimate it as a source of strength. As the trials intensify, every shadow holds a threat, and every victory feels like a temporary reprieve. In a world defined by silver skies and shifting alliances, Wren must navigate a path where failure results in the permanent loss of everyone she holds dear. With the odds stacked against her, she must prove that her connection to Raven isn't just a forbidden entanglement—it is an irresistible power that even the most ancient magic cannot destroy.

Tested for love

Book 2 is the telling from the protagonists experiences. The Council has swapped Ravens magic to Seen without direction of any kind. A test that has unknown repercussions to both characters. How they survive will determine if they will be allowed to live. I loved the plot. I recommend this book.

A new favorite author

Just like the first book, at random you get snippets from the cats perspective which is beyond hilarious. This author has found an interesting part of magic not commonly explored and develops a world that is beyond anything you could be ready for. I am eagerly waiting for number 3 because yes, vampires.
