Description

Artemis de la Peña is the Cedar Rapids Raccoons’ untouchable ice prince. With a legacy of perfection to uphold and a father watching his every move, Artemis treats his life like a tightrope walk where one mistake could cost him everything. He has no room in his schedule for distractions, and certainly no room for the infuriatingly charming Xavier Martinez. Xavier is everything Artemis isn't: loud, chaotic, and relentlessly confident. As a sophomore star for the rival team, Xavier shouldn't even be on Artemis’s radar, let alone under his skin. Yet, every covert encounter and charged moment on the ice pulls Artemis further away from his rigid self-control. For Xavier, the attraction is just as magnetic—he has spent his life chasing the light, but he finds himself inexplicably drawn to the dark, complex man who keeps his heart tucked firmly behind a wall of frost. In a high-stakes world where their reputations are as fragile as the rink ice, the two are forced to confront a dangerous choice. Can they escape the pressure of their expectations, or will the heat between them finally cause the ice prince’s careful world to shatter?

Artemis and Xavier

Loved the banter and the cuteness of this book. As usual, with Las’s books, I could not put it down. This series is to good and easy to read and fall in love with. In this book Artemis is living his life, plotting against his dad and doing lots of thinking about his life. Xavier is the happy guys, laughing and enjoying life. The energy and chemistry between them is high and the spice too. I’ve said it before, as a psychologist, I love that Las always have some point to discuss and address. When we are not good about ourselves we cannot be good about others. Facts!!! We have some interesting discoveries in this book, like who is behind Tabitha’s stories. 😵‍💫 And how families can get together and rally for each other!!! I loved reading this!!! Thank you Las for the arc. 🥰

Artemis and Xavier

Oh my gosh. This book was everything I needed it to be and more. I’ve been struggling to make it through books lately and this just sucked me in. It gave me all the feels. Giggling, sighing, wishing, wanting. I was ready for fight for Artemis and Xavier. And I’m so glad they both have strong families who did just that. They were what each other never knew they needed. It was sweet and wholesome and loving. So much truth and rawness. Laying out all the feelings. Perfect all the way around. I received this as an ARC for free. I am voluntarily leaving this review.

Great Finish to a Great Series!

Artemis and Xavier! I'm so happy that they decided to tell their story to Lasairiona McMaster! And what a story it is! This one is really emotional, all of the feels! I definitely yelled at Artemis multiple times. Xavier is so perfect for him. And the way the whole story wraps up the series is amazing. Favorite highlight: “From now on? If you’re going to run anywhere, you run to me.”

Falling in love with your opponent?

After reading so many M/F relationship novels, it's really refreshing and titillating to read a M/M romance! I loved getting to know Artemis and Xavier intimately (no pun intended), and their vulnerability with each other was touching. The fact that they're players on rival hockey teams complicates things. I highly recommend this book, and I guarantee you'll fall in love with this couple.

Ahh it’s finally time for Artemis D!

have long awaited to finally get our broody boy Artemis’s story and it did not disappoint. I love Xavier for him with his silly side that also gives him everything he needs. They are truly so great together and although their journey wasn’t easy, I loved watching Artemis finally relent and realize this was the best thing for them!
