Description

Julien and Romeo are two souls fractured by their pasts, searching for a place to belong in a world that never gave them a fair start. Their lives collide with the force of a storm, sparking a connection that is as terrifying as it is inevitable. As they navigate the messy, painful, and beautiful landscape of growing up, they must confront the lingering shadows of their shared trauma. This is not just a story about falling in love; it is a raw, unflinching look at how two people can mend each other when they have been broken by the people meant to protect them. The bond between them grows amidst the quiet intensity of their daily lives, turning a fragile friendship into a fierce, life-altering romance. You will find yourself breathless as you witness their journey toward healing, cheering for every small victory and aching through every setback. This novel captures the visceral reality of coming of age with profound empathy and grace. It is a deeply moving exploration of resilience, the power of chosen family, and the courage it takes to trust someone else with your heart. Once you begin their story, you will find it impossible to look away.

One very hard won HEA

This book pulled me in and I couldn’t put it down once I started reading it. From the absolute horror of what both Julien and Romeo have experienced in their short lives to the the healing that they both start to experience as they both reveal to each other the pain that they’ve each gone through. As they both learn what it means to have joy, happiness, family and even love for the first time in their lives this book will put you through an emotional rollercoaster. Reading this book was both cathartic and healing and is going to become a reread mainstay in my library. Please take the trigger warnings in the book to heart and take care of yourself while reading, there are some very dark topics covered but the payoff in the end is so worth it.
