Description

Life at the oars is grueling, precise, and demanding, but for the women on this competitive rowing team, the water offers more than just a workout—it becomes the backdrop for a life-altering romance. As the team pushes toward their goals, the professional intensity of their training begins to blur with the magnetic, undeniable pull between two teammates. What starts as a partnership in sync during practice soon transforms into a charged, high-stakes connection that neither woman can ignore. The story masterfully balances the grit of athletic dedication with the vulnerability of falling in love. It is a slow-burn journey marked by sharp wit, relatable insecurities, and the kind of simmering tension that only makes the eventual payoff more combustible. Beyond the physical chemistry and the beautifully rendered intimacy, the novel shines through its well-crafted character dynamics. With a narrative voice that feels both authentic and sophisticated, the author captures the delicate dance of trust and desire. Whether you are pulled in by the rhythmic sound of rowing blades or the heart-wrenching, swoon-worthy romance, this book delivers a satisfying, emotionally resonant experience that lingers long after the final page.

Sweet and spicy, but very loving!

The three main characters in this book are truly terrific. Kate is an engineering professor whose daughter Maddie attended a summer rowing camp with Carter, an Olympic rowing champion. When the two women meet, Carter is hooked! Their relationship is beautiful, funny, loving, tender and spicy and I think it had the most kissing I've ever read in one book! The secondary characters added so much levity and made me laugh often. I think the age-gap was well done. I probably learned more about rowing than I needed, but it demonstrated hard work and commitment that these women lived by. This book definitely showed a very loving relationship. It's truly another recommended book by the talented MJ Duncan!

So well written smoking HOT what a feat of writing Perfect Love story Happiness abounds A Must Read

I couldn't put this book down. And I'm glad I happened upon it while browsing. I will be noting this author to read more works in the future. As I think anyone in sapping love genre should. The characters...I mean All of them are so clearly visible when reading this book. And just as lovable. It felt so warm. So real. So moving. I felt so much and cried. So tender. I was engrossed. And it kept me hopeful for a love I have yet to discover in my encroaching years. I definitely think it was a perfectly written, well conceived, deep story. With lots of.color, emotion and scenery built into a flawless prose. Love is truly remarkable. And without it, books like this can't be written. And the love of rowing was a blissful addition to a shining story. Brava MJ, thank you for this heartwarming, and...thigh wetting experience *wink*. And sharing your talent with us as readers.

spicy and sweet

Lots of spice and lots of “feels.” Great story, not a huge hurdle to overcome. The friends were hilarious. Maddie was cute. My only wish was that the HEA was more than an epilogue, but there wasn’t much angst in the story, so it wasn’t so painful having HEA as just the epilogue. This is my first read for this author, but I am downloading other stuff as soon as I finish this review.

A Loving book

MJ has really done it this time. A wonderful story about rowing. I liked how she gave all the terms to rowing at the beginning of the book it made it easier to understand what the characters where doing. Carter is an Olympic gold winner in rowing and has taken on a coaching job at MU in Boston. Kate is a engineer at the University and her daughter is at a camp for rowing when they meet. The spark was there when they met but the one problem was the twenty year age gap between them. They don't let that interfere with their relationship and Maddie, Kate's daughter is in very happy with their being together. Their friends all get along which make this story funny and enlightening. The love between Cater and Kate is beautiful and well written a wonderful read
