Description

Win and Remy are two souls defined by the wreckage of their pasts, tethered together by a history that refuses to stay buried. Years after their lives fractured in ways they never thought they could survive, a chance encounter forces them to confront the devastating silence that grew between them. This is not just a story about falling in love; it is a raw, unflinching look at what happens when the people who broke you are the only ones capable of putting you back together. As they navigate the complicated landscape of their shared trauma and evolving identities, Win and Remy must decide if their connection is a destructive cycle or the catalyst for their ultimate healing. This second-chance romance explores the beauty of human complexity, proving that love often requires the courage to be vulnerable when you are already standing in the ruins. Readers who have encountered Win and Remy describe them as characters who linger in the mind long after the final page, offering a narrative that is as painful as it is profoundly restorative. If you are searching for a story that seeps into your soul and challenges your perspective on forgiveness, this is the book you have been waiting for.

Ruin My Life - Julia E. McColgan - Review

Some books entertain you, some make you think, and then there are the rare few that seep into your soul and refuse to let go. Ruin My Life by Julia E. McColgan is one of those books. It’s a beautifully written, emotionally raw, and deeply compelling story that explores love, pain, and the delicate dance between destruction and redemption. From the very first page, I was completely immersed in the world of Remy & Win! These two characters are flawed yet achingly real, navigating their “relationship” that is both toxic and magnetic at the same time. Win’s journey is one of heartbreak and healing, and I couldn’t help but feel every ounce of his emotion. His story is piercing, making even the smallest moments feel significant once they are learned of what really happened. What struck me the most about Ruin My Life is its honesty. This is not a fairytale romance, it’s a raw, messy, and beautifully painful look at what it means to love someone so deeply that they have the power to ruin you. It’s about losing yourself in the chaos of love, about the intoxicating highs and soul-crushing lows of a relationship that blurs the line between passion and destruction. But at its heart, it’s also a story of resilience. It’s about learning to rebuild, to find the strength to walk away or to fight for what’s worth saving. It’s about learning to find yourself again after losing too much and the resilience that comes with that journey. There were moments I wanted to scream at the characters,…

Win and Rem

I loved the writing style. This was amazing and I truly lived the characters. I love how Remy went from being the protected to becoming the protector. I would have loved at least one scene where Win takes the lead and Remy bottoms, but I can’t complain.

Heartbreakingly Beautiful

This book is hands down the best book I’ve read so far this year. It was recommended by a fellow mm reader in a FB group and did not disappoint. It has all the feels and has a true to life storyline that discards normal romance tropes and packs a punch with these two broken boys. It’s mind boggling that the author wrote this beautiful, soul wrenching book in a month and a half! High praise!
