Description

When Elara moves into her new apartment, she expects a quiet life and a clean roommate. Instead, she finds herself shackled to Vesper, a woman whose beauty is as piercing as the dark secrets she keeps locked behind her bedroom door. The living situation is supposed to be simple, but the chemistry between them is combustible, blurring the lines between domestic comfort and a dangerous obsession. As the walls of their shared home begin to feel less like a sanctuary and more like a cage, Elara realizes that Vesper is not just moody or mysterious—she is playing a high-stakes game that Elara never signed up to win. Tensions soar as their proximity turns into a volatile dance of power, attraction, and sinister intent. Every shared breakfast and accidental touch peels back a layer of a past that refuses to stay buried. Roommates is a visceral exploration of desire fueled by shadows. It challenges the boundaries of trust, asking just how much chaos you would invite into your life for the chance to possess someone who is clearly bad for you. For readers who crave sharp wit, scorching heat, and a romance that walks the knife’s edge of morality, this tale proves that sometimes, home is the most lethal place to be.

intense!!!

I really enjoyed this book! I love when the dark part of dark romance isn’t between the main characters, but for protection? Absolutely perfect! Daria and Melanie were such amazing characters and I want to hug and protect them so much. Daria is so badass and scary I loved her! Daria and her dad’s relationship was weirdly wholesome considering what he does for a living but I really liked him. The smut wasn’t my favorite, just a few of the words used wasn’t my cup of tea but I really loved certain aspects of it and really loved Mel and Daria’s relationship!

Roommates

Sometimes, justice comes in the form of revenge. And sometimes, revenge is done by a contract killer's daughter. The perfect theme of this book is "Be careful who you mess with." I love Daria and Melanie's connection. I love how protective Daria is over her. The father-daughter relationships were actually very sweet in this story - considering the content. It's a dark romance, so please check the TWs... but it's a very good revenge story as well!!

Not horrible…but not great.

It was alright. I read the sample on kindle and it pulled me in however the rest just felt like it fell short. Spice? 6/10 story? Solid 6.5 from me. It felt so rushed and the revenge scene was soooo hyped up but such a let down, I felt like it could’ve been more drawn out since it was talked about for a decent chunk of the book. I liked it, but I doubt I’ll ever re read it.

Intense but delicious

Phew, this was a wild ride. Sometimes you just need a book where the conflict comes from outside forces and our two main characters are ride or die. It was nice to see Daria and Mel fall hard and fast and I loved the silly and loving dialogue between them. The triggering parts are heartbreaking but thankfully some is not on page.

dark? definitely…

Who knew dark could be so rewarding. Daria did everything that I would have done for my daughters. I would have brought the world down around their heads. The sad thing, is that there was no need for what happened to happen. Some people are just evil. And this kind of evil generally gets away with it. But not this time. What I like about Melanie is that she didn’t wuss out and get all wishy washy and playing continual victim. She took EVERYTHING in stride from first know. She took back her power, clung to love and moved on with a new family and a new life. She not only survived, she’s thriving. We need the Kanes and the Darias in the world. They set wrong, right. The world can breathe a bit easier as they take out the most heinous and sadistic amongst us. I wish I had it in me to be that way. Me? I’m a Melanie. I accept and applaud the Daria’s in the world. I’m only Daria when it comes to my own daughters I love them like Kane loves his daughter. I’d kill then die for them. This book is just amazing. I wasn’t sure going into it. But the way the author writes it you can’t help but love it.
