Description

Ray is a woman running from a past that refuses to stay buried, finding refuge in the quiet, mist-covered mountains of the Catskills. She expects isolation, but she finds something—or someone—entirely unexpected. Nika, a former rockstar with a voice that still echoes in the rafters of concert halls, is living in the same small town, haunted by her own ghosts and the wreckage of a life left behind. When their paths collide, the air between them sparks with a volatile mix of antagonism and undeniable electricity. Ray is guarded, and Nika is restless, yet they are drawn together by a shared ache for connection that neither can suppress. As they navigate the fragile landscape of a budding romance, they must confront the lingering shadows of their history. This story is a beautifully woven tapestry of heartache, anxiety, and the transformative power of love. It is a slow-burn journey that balances the grit of rockstar fame with the tender, intimate reality of finding home in another person. If you are looking for a mesmerizing, emotionally resonant read that proves love can bloom even in the most haunted of places, this is the story for you.

This Book Rocked My World

This is the first book I've read by Anna Cove and will definitely not be the last! I loved the antagonism and chemistry between Ray and Nika and their backstory, was so well told and how it shaped the way they lived and saw themselves. The music business aspects and songwriting felt real and honest (the good and the bad parts of each), which made the entire story believable. Each of their friends were also brilliantly portrayed and nuanced. I loved everything about this story and signed up for the newsletter afterwards, in order to get an additional chapter that was left out.

5 STARS ARE NOT NEARLY ENOUGH…

O my god, this book was completely mesmerizing. Anna Cove has depicted emotions better than anyone I can think of. Perhaps better (If that’s even possible), there is romance without blatant sex acts, which in my opinion can be cringy at times if not done well. The musical overtones were beautiful, but the MCs emotional dilemma’s were at once believable and relatable. I’ve been there, perhaps you have too? This book is a MUST READ. It has all the feels.

Rock My World

Very nicely written! Loved the author’s descriptive approach to the music and how it affected the characters. The story lines behind both main characters are well built and of course as with all of the author’s writing the book has you cheering for a fairytale ending! I recommend the read.
