Description

Dr. Elena Vance has spent her career building walls, both inside the sterile halls of Pulse Medical and around her guarded heart. As the hospital’s top surgeon, she has no room for distractions, especially not in the form of Maya Rossi. Maya is the team’s star quarterback, a woman whose reckless approach to life and recovery is the exact opposite of Elena’s calculated precision. Their professional friction is legendary, fueled by a simmering hostility that masks a deeper, undeniable magnetism. When a high-stakes injury forces them into an intimate, high-pressure rehabilitation process, the lines between doctor and patient blur into something far more dangerous. This is not just another medical romance; it is a deeply sentimental and emotional exploration of what happens when two people who are used to winning are finally forced to be vulnerable. As they navigate the psychological toll of their respective pressures, their enemies-to-lovers dynamic shifts into a raw, intense connection that threatens to unravel everything they have built. This eighth installment in the Pulse Medical series offers a poignant, character-driven journey where the greatest risk is not a surgical complication, but the terrifying possibility of letting someone truly see you.

conflict isn’t always bad..

This book seemed a little different from the rest of the series not sure the word I’m using is correct but more sentimental, emotional. Think with a good book you become involved with the characters and the emotions the author is trying to convey. Found myself laughing out loud and also reduced to tears on occasion which might have more to do with my experience as a patient in hospitals. Think you’re enjoy this book and the characters.
