This book is just as spicy as the first book, hide n' seek. I could not put this book down and I can't wait for the third book to come out! I highly recommend this book for anyone who likes spice with a good plot twist!

A crazy labyrinth of spice, action, gore, alliances, betrayal, oh my!!
The maze runner x escape room setting hosts a bratty bloodthirsty sabrina carpenter influencer and a thembo cowboy w religious trauma and a lasso… must I say more??
I was so immersed in the world I read it in just a few days (before and after work), and was entertained the whole time without fail. I loved all the puzzles in this one, it truly felt like a crazy reality tv episode.
My only notes were wishing Cam was a bit more consistent with the southern twang diction, it would waive a bit during the spice scenes and I wanted moreee😍, and I also would’ve loved a few more interactions with the crowd/streamers/sponsors watching the race!
But the ending really sealed the deal with the surprise POV chapter, which was so satisfying, really made everything come together, and was a perfect hook for the final installment.
I can’t wait for Truth or Dare!
Such a good series !!! I wish I would have waited to binge all the books together but now I’m impatiently waiting for truth or dare 😭
Rat Race was a great read. I read Hide N Seek last year, and it was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend reading Hide N Seek first before you jump into Rat Race.
This book was amazing. I liked the twist and turns. I really enjoyed reading about Cam and Aubrey. This series gives me hunger games and purge vibes. Eden Emory and Ashley Pines are both amazing authors. I really enjoy their writing style. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series!

these books always get to me, i loved the first and this one was just as good. i was happy to see characters from the previous edition! the journey these takes you on is insane. it's wlw, it's political in its own right, it's gory, it's GOOD. highly recommend
