Not the usual fluff!
Logan and Carter have a history from their Jr. Hockey League days. Both were hurt, for entirely different reasons. Both felt rejected. Jack fled and became the highest paid NHL player for the Raptors.
Now, years later, Carter is a fellow teammate and Jack can’t handle it. Their rivalry becomes legendary until Coach makes them room together on Away Games to work it out.
Their attraction is rekindled. Until Carter can’t commit because he doesn’t see himself as anything but straight.
When Jack is injured and hospitalised, Carter confesses his love for Jack. Jack rejects Carter because he believes Carter only says that because of a video of the two of them that becomes viral.
What ensues is Carter showing up at Jack’s condo, bearing gifts and food to take care of him while he’s recuperating. This happens until Jack relents and they finally have their HEA.
There are dark themes and plot twists in this book. I didn’t include any in this review because I didn’t want to share any spoilers.
It’s a really great read.
