Description

Clay considers himself a total failure as a vampire. Sure, he’s got the eternal youth and the rugged good looks of a twenty-year-old, but when it comes to the actual perks of being undead—like soaring effortlessly through the night sky—he’s a total wreck. Trying to navigate university life while constantly bumping into trees is humiliating enough, but things get even more complicated when he’s paired with the one guy who seems completely unimpressed by his supernatural status. Owen is a brainy academic who has no patience for jocks, especially ones who constantly zone out in the lab. He prefers facts and logic over flirting, and he definitely doesn’t have room in his life for a clumsy, gorgeous vampire. But when a shared project involving an injured bat reveals a hidden, tender side of Clay, Owen’s rigid defenses start to crumble. As Clay recruits his unwilling partner to help him master the art of flight, the two find themselves crossing the line from lab partners to something much more dangerous—and delightful. In a world of monsters and midnight mishaps, a scholarly human and a sweet, struggling vampire might just be the perfect mismatch. It’s a collision of brains and brawn, proving that even a vampire with two left wings can sweep you off your feet.

Was cute

Not a bad story but several times the storyline felt manipulated as opposed to occurring naturally. Nothing super bad but enough it threw me out of the story a couple of times. It was a fun read all things considered.

liked it

I liked this book. 3.5 stars for rating, 2.5 for spice. Overall it was good and I enjoyed the relationship progress and Bat Nathanson. Owen was a bit conflicting, when his initial presentation showcased a vampire jock but then he was adamant he didn’t want to be a with a jock. And Clay was described as a himbo a couple times but I didn’t really get that from him.

An easy go-to read for something light and fun

Oh, now this book was a delightful surprise, and I enjoyed every moment of it. The way the story flowed so effortlessly, I couldn’t begin to guess who wrote what. Their style of writing, ready wit, and character development all wove together so well that I’d happily support their co-authorship again! Luckily for us, they both have a great backlist of books for us to enjoy in the meantime. This story was just a lot of fun to read. I was grinning throughout most of it. It was set in a world that was shared with us before, but that doesn’t keep it from being a story all on its own. I haven’t read the original series, but they are definitely on my radar. Owen and Clay were on a collision course towards each other, and it was enjoyable to experience the awkward moments, sweet moments, and the adorable bat they took care of. I felt so bad for Owen the night he found it. Clay was great through it all. I loved watching them learn there was more to the other than what they originally thought. If you are looking for something to make you laugh, keep your grinning, and to leave you feeling like it was a book worth reading, then look no further, because I definitely recommend this one.

Love Creepin U!

From the world of Creepin U, we have a new story! This was such a fun world and I was glad to see these authors return to it. This story follows Owen and Clay, a nerd and jock who are very much meant to be! If they let themselves at least. Owen came to Creepin U to study medicine and hopes to be a monster doctor despite his parents constant worry for him. Owen works hard to maintain his grades and is just your typical nerdy boy. Who has a massive crush on vampires but with one particular in mind: Clay. However, Owen has found it more often than not, that liking a jock tends to end badly for him. But staying away from Clay becomes harder than he expected when they have to work together in a class they share. Add in taking care of an injured bat! He wants to stay away, but the more time he spends with Clay the more he sees a side of him he never expected. Resisting Clay may not be possible. Clay hasn’t had it easy since he became a vampire, but he is doing his best. When he meets Owen he is definitely smitten. But Owen seems to not want anything to do with him. Yet, Clay can’t help but hope things will change once they get to truly know one another. Perhaps he found the person he was meant to be with after! Very sweet story with these two! I hope we continue to get more stories in this world! It’s just a fun escape filled with wonderful characters.
