In a future where memories are the ultimate currency, Milo leads a fragile existence. As a technician specialized in memory extraction, he spends his days harvesting the raw, neural data of others—until he is assigned a target that defies every protocol he knows. The man in the chair is not just another client; he is a dangerous mystery with secrets locked so deep they threaten to rewire Milo’s own reality. As Milo digs deeper into the fractured consciousness of his enigmatic subject, the professional boundaries he relies on for safety begin to dissolve. What starts as a high-stakes clinical procedure quickly spiraling into a high-octane game of survival, leaving Milo and his target tethered by a connection that is as volatile as it is undeniable. It is a dark, atmospheric exploration of obsession and intimacy, perfect for readers who crave visceral suspense paired with an intense, slow-burn romance. In a world of corrupted files, can these two find something real enough to hold onto?

6 STAR READ

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could rate this 6 stars I would, Neurovance is one of the best books I have ever read. The plot, the spice, the character development; it was impeccably done. Neurovance exceeded all my expectations. I mainly read MM romance and this book is a work of art. I was pulled in from page one- the way Alex can build up a world and its characters is transformative. The premise of this book is extraordinary. To write a book about the misuse of AI, a tech company, and the innovations they created with memory extraction technology and the unethical use and impact it had on the characters of the story was so captivating. I immediately fell in love with Milo Murphy, who is the sweetest boy. There are three parts to this story. I usually feel impatient when stories jump around timelines but each jump was so thrilling. It made you feel the big moments of the story even more if that’s possible. I felt like I was ripped out of my life and implanted in a near dystopian future and first hand witnessing the complicated but haunting love between Milo and ‘the forgotten’. The type of love they share is unforgettable and against all odds. The way ‘the forgotten’s’ character changes throughout the three parts of this story was soul wrenching. I also really loved Nova’s character. Seb’s character development was UNBELIEVABLE. I have so much more to say about Seb but I will just leave it there for now. This was my first ever ARC, and I am so lucky for it to have been Neurovance…

If Alexandra writes it, I’m going to read it.

Well, it’s official. If Alexandra writes it, I’m going to read it. I don’t think I’ve read over 500 pages that fast in my life, lol. And apparently I like hurting myself because, after how this ended, I want to go back and read it again immediately to see if I can 𝘴𝘦𝘦 more with the perspective I had to swallow in those last few chapters. IYKYK 😭💔 There were multiple instances in this read that had me choked up. Both of these MMCs are so precious, I almost couldn’t stand it. It was so wholesome and pure, and what they went through was heartbreaking. I had to remind myself that they were fictional characters and weren’t going to go anywhere when I put this down to go to bed last night, because I really did not want to stop reading. I’m sad that it’s over, but their HEA was so worth it, even if it did have me in tears. There was also so much more to this book than romance, though, and a lot of what the author was trying to show or tell you with this story really resonated. For me, personally, I felt it the most with Milo’s character. He had a lot of inner strength, but you wouldn’t guess someone who dealt with all he had would. I loved that he held onto his softness even when he had to be strong, and it makes me feel okay for holding on to my own as well, despite what my own life has thrown at me. Reads like this remind me that I’m not the only one. It’s almost like validation because there’s a person behind the story you’re reading, and their voice is what brought this…

All. The. Stars.

I devoured this book. I had never read a dark techno thriller romance but had just finished The Mercinary & The Mortician - also by Alexandra St Pierre - and enjoyed her writing so... why not? To say I was unprepared for this book would be an understatement. I was immediately - IMMEDIATELY - obsessed. Everyone says they couldn't put a book down, but I could not so reading this book & when I was done with it, I immediately wished I could read it again for the first time. It reminded me a bit of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with a bit of Clockwork Orange, AI, & a whole lot of just because we can doesn't mean we should. I can't even say all the things I want to say bc this is a book you should go into completely blind and i refuseto spoil anything. Just know that the characters are so thoughtfully developed, the attention to detail in the setting is thorough but not overwhelming, and you will go through all the emotions. This book made me laugh out loud, feel anxious & sad, and cry, and I loved every single second of it - even when I desperately wanted to run to the reviews on Amazon to see if I could figure out how it would all end - DO NOT DO THAT! (So if my review is the first one you see you need to stop and just read the book!) I am giving this one all the stars

4⭐ Interesting and Engaging. Really great read.

This was a little different type of read for me but I really enjoyed it. Not once did I find myself bored with the storyline in this nearly 600 page book. I liked how the author set it up where we get the “middle” part of the story first where the reader is wondering what the heck is going on, then we go back to the beginning to bring to light what got us to the middle, then follows up with the 3rd part. I found the dystopian/futuristic part of the storyline interesting & unique. I liked the message the author was trying to convey. I found our MCs likeable and you were rooting for them the whole way through.

Literally have tears in my eyes, as I just finished this incredible story. I can’t even put into words how much I LOVED this book. From the beginning I was immediately drawn into this world and fell instantly in love with the characters. I felt like I was on the edge of my seat the whole book, and I loved that. It’s not often a story truly sucks you in like that. Milo was so freaking perfect. And adorable. I immediately fell in love with Jay and giggled and squealed when him and Milo officially met. I felt their chemistry right away and I adored how protective Jay was right off the bat. The Forgotten… 😭😭😭 that’s all I’ll say to that cause the reason behind the name makes me cry. Nova, our amazing Ai tech (without all the harmful true AI stuff) was precious. Seb…. 😭😭 you’ll see what I mean. Such an emotional story. But also…. Obsessed with the… steamy Dom/Sub dynamic between Milo and Jay🤭🤭 The spice be spicin guys 🤭 The plot was amazing. As I said above, I was literally on the edge of my seat through out the story. This one is definitely top favorite for me. I can’t wait to re read it already.
