Description

Julian has spent his life constrained by the rigid expectations of his royal lineage, performing his duties with a grace that hides a lonely, aching heart. When he finds himself unexpectedly forced into the world of professional hockey, he encounters Carson, a star athlete whose rugged exterior masks a surprisingly gentle soul. Carson is a man of few words but deep actions, and his patience with Julian is as intoxicating as it is rare. What begins as a clash of two very different worlds slowly transforms into an intimate dance of trust and discovery. Carson is the definition of a gentleman, prioritizing Julian’s comfort and well-being above his own desires, creating a slow-burn connection that smolders with quiet intensity. As the ice melts between them, they must navigate the pressures of public scrutiny and the weight of tradition to protect a love that defies their stations. This heartwarming romance perfectly bridges the gap between the refined elegance of regency sensibilities and the high-stakes passion of modern sports. It is a tender, erotic, and deeply moving exploration of what it means to be truly seen by another person. Their journey is as sweet as it is searing, proving that sometimes, the coldest environments harbor the most enduring warmth.

Amazing

This a really good slowburn and I love how Carson is such a gentleman to Julian and the way he makes sure Julian is comfortable is so hot.

Super sweet

Figure skating x hockey. My kryptonite! I liked both of the characters, but I do wish Carson had POVs, I felt the loss. The romance was super sweet, and it’s not extremely spicy but still had a zing to it. The dialogue is written a little weird, like grammar wise, and it took me out of it multiple times.

Carson ❤️ Julian

Melt His Heart is the debut novel by Chérie Angel, and I absolutely loved it. It was such a cute and heartwarming read. The story has a sweet slow burn that makes the romance feel very natural and endearing. I loved both MMCs, Carson and Julian. They were so adorable together. Carson was especially my favorite. He was patient, understanding, and willing to do the chasing because he knew Julian needed reassurance. That dynamic between them was incredibly sweet. I’m always a fan of the grumpy and sunshine trope, and this book delivered it perfectly. Their chemistry and emotional connection made the story even more enjoyable. I especially loved Julian’s character development. He really grew throughout the story, owning up to what he wanted and learning to fight for himself. Watching him come to terms with the fact that he is more than just a figure skater was beautifully written and added a lot of depth to the story. I also really appreciated the representation of Korean American culture, which was handled thoughtfully and added another meaningful layer to the book. Overall, this was a wonderful debut, and I truly can’t wait to read more from this author.
