Description

Sutton and Wren return in this gripping installment, picking up the pieces of a connection that is as volatile as it is undeniable. If the previous chapters were about discovering the spark, this narrative is a masterclass in navigating the wildfire that follows. As they grapple with the baggage of their individual pasts, the history they share becomes both their greatest anchor and their most challenging hurdle. Briar Prescott excels at balancing sharp, rhythmic banter with gut-wrenching emotional stakes. The chemistry between the two leads crackles off the page, fueled by the kind of vulnerability that only comes from deep-seated history. It isn't an easy road for them; the angst is earned, layered, and deeply human, forcing both characters to question what they are willing to sacrifice for a future together. This story is a poignant exploration of healing and the terrifying beauty of letting someone truly see you. For fans of slow-burn intensity and complex, flawed protagonists, this book offers a raw and deeply satisfying experience. It’s a standout romance that proves that sometimes, the hardest person to forgive is yourself, and the only person worth fighting for is the one who has been there all along.

Fabulous!

What an absolutely beautiful story! Everytime I pick up a book by this author I'm reminded of just how good she writes and I'm immediately pulled into her stories. Wren and Sutton absolutely stole my heart. Their connection was so strong, the dialogue and interactions between them was spot on, and the romance gave me all the butterflies. There was so much depth to this book as both Wren and Sutton struggle with difficult and life altering things from their past. But it never felt too heavy. It just made me feel so much for both of them and melt just a little at how they supported and showed their love for each other. This was such an enjoyable book to read, filled with smart dialogue, a cast of likeable characters, and a beautiful romance that brought all the feels. Highly recommended!

Unexpected plot “twist” in this 3rd in series ..

This is the third book in this series of overlapping standalones. The first two were two of my favorite reads of 2024. This one didn’t fully meet my expectations. I adore Briar Prescott’s writing. Maybe You brings together two likable main characters, adds in witty banter, and combines some traumatic back story to create a love story where you are really rooting the happy ending. Where this installment fell short for me was the plot. It was just lacking. It was too reminiscent of Until You. You knew Sutton had a secret which was why he didn’t want Wren to fall for him, but when the secret came into the light it fell flat for me. There was a lot more spice in the first half of this book that isn’t in Until You and And Then You. Loved that we got check in with Quinn and Steph.

Fantastic read!!!

If you have sent any of my reviews ( and why do I keep doing them??) you would see I like the phrase" the feels". OMG!! I got the feels through most of this book!! Man can Briar write a good story!! I think most people will really enjoy this one. Wren and Sutton are lovable from the start. When you get to know them.. Well you're heart starts to hurt a bit because... Well falling in love is never really intended...and ya it's just all chemical... But it's never on a time line.. And when the one rule is don't fall in love... That just sucks!! But much in the brain chemicals...excitement, joy, anticipation...and sometimes fear. And I get it, you don't want to be like your parents.. Then you fund yourself... Maybe being just like them.. In your mind... And that's s just scary A.#. This book reminds us that life isn't easy.. We all come from different backgrounds, family lives... It reminds us they love can hurt so bad( yes..I cried...sue me 😘). But it also reminds us that our past doesn't necessarily defines us.. What we do with that knowledge( read the book), how we react to it, defines us. Personally, I'm still learning... If you have to which main character you are . I'm the very poor version of Sutton without being beautiful. I know his fear... I've lived it. It's nice to see even if only fiction that you can move on... In real life. Maybe You isn't for everyone... It's a bit heavy.. But so worth it.

This was a terrific read – emotional, funny, sexy, and insightful. The characters are flawed but endearing, and the banter between Sutton and Wren is truly enjoyable.

I freaking love this series! I loved Sutton and Wren

Briar is an auto-buy author for me, she is my to go for witty characters, fun banter with a touch of angst and a dash of mystery. I LOVE her epilogues, they leave me with a happy heart knowing main characters have a true happy ever after. I liked Sutton from book 2 when he kinda flirted with Steph to make Quinn jealous and in this book there’s some payback which made me lol. I liked how he pretended to be arrogant but in reality he was so sweet and caring and loved Wren unconditionally. Wren was so precious, I loved seeing him gain confidence in himself, he had a great support system and I’m so happy he was able to find true love after everything he went through. Overall I loved this, Steph and Quinn still hold number one for me, they will forever be my favorite couple from this series but I still recommend reading all three books. They are amazing!
