Description

Signing up for the LSU dating app was supposed to be a low-stakes way to find a casual fling. When an unexpected glitch in the system swaps my date, I find myself sitting across from Nate Glover, the university's star footballer. Nate is charismatic, popular, and—by all appearances—entirely straight. So am I. Or so I tell myself. What begins as an awkward mishap quickly spirals into an unlikely friendship. Nate is charming, and he even tries to help me find a connection with his sister, who is objectively everything I usually go for. But the harder I try to stay in my lane, the more my attention drifts back to the man sitting beside me. Why is he sneaking looks at me when he thinks I’m not watching? And why does every friendly gesture start to feel like something charged with electricity? As the lines between friendship and desire begin to blur, I’m forced to confront truths I wasn't prepared to face. Maybe that digital error wasn't a mistake at all, but a catalyst for something neither of us saw coming. In a world of labels and expectations, Nate and I might just be the perfect, messy match.

⚽️BOOK REVIEW⚽️ I read Matched by Becca Steele ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5 stars) Synopsis: When Nate and Charlie both use a new app that matches you with someone anonymously. They both think they are going on a date with a girl, but are surprised when they are matched with each other. They soon quickly become friends, but the attraction is there much to their surprise. Review: This is the fifth book in the series (which I did not realize) and while it can be read as a standalone, I much prefer to read it in order and wish I did, because some of the other characters/couples did get muddled. With that said, this was the one I was more intrigued by the synopsis and I really enjoyed it. It was a very cute, fun, steamy read. I was worried at first in the beginning because both Charlie and Nate use the app and quickly meet early on in the book, and I wanted a much more slower meet, but my fears quickly dissolved. Their meeting was very cute and funny as they realize each other is their dates, but make the best of it and become friends. Both of them are “straight” or thought they were, but they both really like hanging out with each other. Nate is a soccer player on the university team and Charlie loves soccer himself and wish he got to play as well but can’t as he has to focus on school and work to provide for his younger siblings. I haven’t read a soccer romance book before and found it very fun. I loved reading both of Charlie and Nate’s interactions and their “non dates” it was very…
