Description

For fifteen years, tour manager Olivia Jade has lived life out of a suitcase. She has mastered the rhythm of the road: chaotic venues, fleeting romances, and a vow to never let anything become permanent. She was ready to hang up her credentials and trade the tour bus for a quiet hiatus, but a final, irresistible offer to lead pop superstar Peyton Davis’s world tour pulls her back for one last run. From the outside, Peyton Davis is an icon at the summit of her fame, but behind the curtain, her life is fracturing. Burdened by strained family ties and a hollow, long-term relationship that feels more like a cage, Peyton is desperately searching for authenticity. When she finds herself drawn to her guarded new tour manager, the complication is immediate. A crush on a woman—and an employee, no less—is the last thing Peyton needs while her personal life is already spiraling toward a breaking point. As the tour winds across the globe, the professional wall between them begins to dissolve. Caught between the pressure of the spotlight and their own resurfacing pasts, Olivia and Peyton must decide if the connection they share on the road is just another temporary stop or something worth reinventing their lives for.

Amazing summer read!

I received the book today and could not put it down! Definitely a must read. If I could give it 10 stars I would! Definitely a day at the beach book. You will finish it before you leave!

Love!

Love! From the first page. I read a lot of contemporary romance novels from range of authors. Erica Goodwin is now up there with authors I watch and will buy as soon as they release a new book!

Love it

4.5🧤🧤🧤🧤 to Erica Goodwin I Really loved the book, you gave us the messiness, the romance and those little tiffs you have as you find out “new” details about your partner. I’m so glad this wasn’t another age gap period book. Although I really wished we would have had a kiss or a 🫦xx scene under the 100 page mark. If there’s a 2nd book Please add 🫦xx scenes.

This author still needs to blossom - I have faith for the next one being better!

The original concept of a pop star and her tour manager was a great idea, but the execution of it could have been so much better. It would have connected to the reader more if it was told from the point of view of the 2 characters instead of in a narration by the author speaking for them and it also would've connected more to the reader if it did less summaries of time passing and instead let us feel each moment between the characters instead of skipping over things and just summarizing. There were a few spelling and grammar errors that took you out of it the moment as well. The couple dramatic storylines didn't pack enough of a punch or feel realistic either. I'm a huge 2 Dykes & A Mic fan so I definitely wanted to support this book, but it just had things that needed improvement. I have faith that Erica Goodwin's next book will be better. She just needs to blossom as an author more. If this book gets reprinted, they really need to fix the cover art where Olivia's T-shirt says "The Joe's". It should be "The Joes" and definitely fix how on page 211, it says "most sexist woman" when it should say, "sexiest woman".
