Fantasy & Adventure
I can say without a doubt this is one of the most unique books I’ve read! It’s a self-published YA fantasy novel by my friend and colleague, David Decker.
Kyra of the North follows the journey of a young woman coming of age in a bygone era.
The tale explores themes of loss, identity, and resilience painted on the landscape of an imaginative world. It is obvious that Decker poured his heart into creating Kyra’s universe. This genre is a little outside my typical realm, but the story will resonate with teen readers who enjoy character-driven stories with a blend of fantasy and adventure.
Five stars to Decker for the hard work and dedication in bringing Kyra’s story to life. Also… let’s give a nod to the amazing cover art by Leslie Casilli!
