HOLY SISTERS OF SAPPHO. I have no notes—only incoherent noises and a desperate need for book two. My blood pressure may never recover. This book is hot hot hot, but it’s also devastatingly tender and beautifully written. Kiss of Seduction is everything I want from a dark sapphic fantasy romance: lush worldbuilding, emotionally charged intimacy, and two women who are equal parts broken, brave, and breathtakingly real.
Evie absolutely shattered me. She’s a survivor in every sense—her vulnerability and quiet courage make her one of the most compelling heroines I’ve read in a long time. After enduring so much cruelty at the hands of the vampiric Court of Night, she somehow still finds the strength to trust again. The way Rawnie Sabor writes her healing journey—slow, tentative, and earned—made my heart ache in the best way. And Natalya? Oh, Natalya. The second-in-command of the Chicago-based Court of Chains, a powerful succubus whose touch can kill and whose kiss is pure sin—she’s magnetic, dangerous, and yet deeply compassionate beneath all that power. Watching her learn to care for Evie, to cherish her, was nothing short of stunning.
The chemistry between them is explosive, but what really floored me was how the heat serves the story. Every intimate scene carries emotional weight and character growth—this isn’t spice for spice’s sake. Sabor knows exactly how to use sensuality to tell a story about trauma, healing, and reclamation. There’s an incredible dom/sub dynamic woven…

Truly one of the best books I have read in the past year
Evie and Natalya's story shines in many ways, but its themes of overcoming trauma and expressing vulnerability is the crux of this romance. It is rare to see the complexities of surviving SA present on the page, and Evie, despite the trauma, was never presented as weak. Natalya's experience as a succubus who pulls away from people due to her abilities will be relatable to any queer reader who feels out of place amongst others. The love story between them was long and slow, but it was beautifully written and the sex scenes conveyed the trust, vulnerability, and consent required in a adult relationship. I enjoyed that the trauma, grief, sadness, etc, did not disappear in the sex scenes. Because that is real life. There are so many outside factors impacting a person's ability to enjoy sex, and with Evie and Natalya's history, it is evident that the author took great care to convey the long path back to finding strength in one's body after such a violation. Natalya is also such a beautifully written character, and her history being woven into her present plotline explains why she is so perfect for Evie. I think both women are characters readers will empathize with, but if you want a deep world and an engrossing plot, then you can find that there too. The other books in the series are so different from this one, but it all happens in the same world, and the same club for most of the series. You will get a great idea of the cast of characters and it will be easy to latch onto ones…

Kiss of Seduction is sweet, sinister, and abhorrently abusive, which can be triggering and unimaginable. Kudos to the human spirit, which can be resilient and beautifully vulnerable. This was all depicted in this story. Family, it is a worthy read. Enjoy. Happy Reading.

I really liked this story. I wouldn't call it a dark romance, more like a paranormal romance. It popped up as a suggested read and I was intrigued enough by the premise that I downloaded it. I was not disappointed. I was pulled into the story and hooked by the end of chapter 1. Eve's despair was so vivid I was rooting for her to overcome before I even knew the full scope of her story. Gotta say even though the subject was presented with tact and care, a huge trigger warning for those who are survivors of SA can't be overstated. 10 years ago not sure if I could have read this book and come out with a healthy mindset so please take gentle care if you are not in a good place. If you are considering this book a few things I liked in no particular order:
*Glossary of terms with detailed explanation.
*The different dynamics presented and each valued.
*The dynamics were close enough to real world examples that it didn't require too much suspension of disbelief to think that is how it really would happen.
*Not all the male characters were pigs and bad guys or stupid or subservient to women. This happens too often in lesfic and it is a tired worn out trope.
*Powerful women are not all masculine. Not hatting or masc or butch ladies, but it nice to see there is power in the feminine; and who better to prove this point than a succubus.
*Doms can have trauma as well. Too often stories about D/s dynamics present Doms as fully in control at all times and there problems are merely…
I have been starved for books like this. Sapphic fantasy/mythological characters set in a modern world with extreme spiciness sprinkled all over the place. I loved these two characters. The chemistry was off the chart and the emotions were so real. I don't usually cry while reading but I did a couple times with this one because of how well written this story is.
Natalya is such a smoke show and Evie has to be the most resilient character I've ever read. Her mental fortitude and perseverance through all of it is something I can't even fathom and thankfully have never even had to come close to understanding. These two were perfect for each other and needed each other and I can't get over how beautifully passionate their interactions were.
Their spicy scenes together were some of the best I've read and the details kept me so engaged. A lot of authors are kind of quick to move through scenes like this and it doesn't ever last as long as I feel it should or would want it to. And sometimes to the point where it's all over and you missed the most important part because it's just a sentence or even a word and you're like "is that it?!" Not Rawnie Sabor. These scenes are long and incredibly well described and not once did my attention stray. I wish more authors would write like this.
And not just the spice but the whole plot of this book is clearly well thought out and planned. I typically find things that irritate me or holes that don't make sense and there might've been some of…
