You will not put it down after the first chapter.
This book will suck you in within pages of reading. Before the first chapter is done you can feel the emotions, pain, and challenges facing both Will and PD.
Beyond well written with a depth of understanding for both someone caring for an injured partner with major brain injury, as well as the other side, the injuries and the struggles with brain injuries and how they affect everyone and are see by those fighting through to heal and knowing they may never heal.
Well written and building the foundation of the characters and the community. I can’t wait to see where the future goes in NG!
I have already recommended this to multiple of my fellow veterans and current soldiers as well as many others.
Thank you Ki and M.D. beyond words for the expertise and care you put into these characters.
Will (Rook) and Paris (PD) were on the verge of being something more when a rival MC caused injury to Will and he barely survived. Everyone treats him with kid gloves and he doesn't believe PD wants him with his injuries. PD doesn't know if Will even remembered and as they are BFs, only wants to care for him, not lose him. Will is in constant pain, PD hurts for him, both are insecure and won't relate their feelings. As in most Gothenburg books, there is violence, many m/m relationships, corrupt officials, steamy times and heart wrenching moments as you feel for Will and PD. I love this writing duo.
“King’s Survivor” by Ki Brightly and M.D. Gregory is book 11 in the “The Kings of Men MC” series. I adore this series and was very excited to see that PD and Will’s book was out. We’ve been anticipating this book for a long time and it was so worth it. Will was in a motorcycle accident and suffered many injuries including a TBI. He is trying to figure out what his new way of life will look like. PD has been there through it all. He loves Will and wants to take care of him. Will struggles when people try to baby him. Both perspectives are so understandable. Once they finally admitted how they felt, things started to turn the corner. They were such a great pairing.
I loved seeing all of the Kings. However, I am concerned about King and Dallas. There have been cracks in their relationship over the course of the last few books and I’m worried what will happen when everything hits the fan. Dallas is being so patient. I am also worried about Jester and Bliss. What is going on there? I cannot wait to see how both of these stories play out. I love New Gothenburg and everything that comes from these two authors. They have such an amazing universe and I love visiting whenever I can. I highly recommend anything that they have written.

I have been not so patiently waiting for this story and I wasn't disappointed.
Will and PD's road to a HEA was so painfully beautiful and realistic.
Will having suffered through a horrific trauma that left his body and mind broken.
Not completely beyond repair, but irrevocably changed.
Will resents having to depend on someone, especially when that someone is his best friend PD who he's in love with.
PD for his part, wants to care for Will, but does it in a way that makes him feel like a child and a burden.
I was really angry with these two, I wanted to smack them for the lack of communication because everything could have been resolved so much more quickly.
