Description

Some wounds run too deep to heal alone, and some hearts are far too damaged to ever be mended. In this intense and gripping debut, two men find themselves locked in a collision course of sharp-tongued banter, simmering tension, and undeniable chemistry. From the very first page, the narrative unfolds with the cinematic scope of a high-stakes drama, pulling the reader into an emotional landscape where every word is a weapon and every glance reveals a secret. This story is a masterclass in slow-burn longing, daring to explore the vulnerabilities hidden behind walls of pride and past trauma. As the protagonists navigate the volatile fallout of their connection, they are forced to confront the wreckage of their own identities. It is an exploration of the fragility of trust and the terrifying beauty of letting someone else inside the fortress. Perfect for fans of character-driven narratives, this book captures the raw, messy reality of falling in love when you’ve already been broken. It is a heartfelt, provocative journey that stays with you long after the final page is turned—a compelling reminder that even the most fractured souls can find a mirror in each other.

Hidden Gem

I went through every range of emotion during this book. It was sweet, wholesome, and sinister all wrapped up together. This book had the most delicious slow burn and the build up of tension between Anthony and Chance was absolutely perfect 🖤 there are so many beautiful moments between them. Once Chance met Anthony he stopped at nothing to try and get him. The flirting and banter between them was honestly some of the best that I’ve ever read in a book! Anthony may have been scared and unsure of how to get what he wants but the possessive side of this man??? 👀 I couldn’t get enough. I was on the edge of my seat just waiting and waiting for them to finally snap 😭 Then just when I finally thought something was gonna happen… I got THROWN. I mean seriously.. 1 year. Then 3 years????? Equal parts wrecked and pissed me OFF. Then we get thrown right back into the waiting period. The chemistry never dissipated in their time apart. And thankfully we didn’t have to wait long for it to snap 😭 Once it did, Chance and Anthony couldn’t stay away from each other. They were both FERAL for one another. And the spice between them was hot af and everything I wanted from them. Absolutely well worth the wait 🥵🥵🥵 it was seriously some of the best I’ve ever read. I really liked all of the characters in this book. It had strong found family vibes 🖤 this definitely would have been 5 stars for me but I’m not kidding when I say the 3 year time jump pissed me off 😭 it was understandable…

Chance + Anthony | Amazing Debut

Damaged Hearts: Book 1 ● Debut What an amazing debut. Every single character felt like a real person and holds a place in my heart. My heart breaks for everything Chance and Anthony experience both as children individually and as adults together. But the HEALING was such a predominant theme throughout this entire story. And watching them grow into themselves and not just strive for a better life but thrive while doing it - was everything. I love the life they built and the found family that surrounded them. Can't wait for the next book! Bone Deep (Butters + Spence) coming in June.

Absolute perfection!

This book absolutely rocked me in the best way. Ant and Chance’s love story is so tender, angst-filled and beautiful. This is a truly epic love story that will stay with me for a long, long time. And the epilogue made me legit cry. 💗💗

Epic love story 💜💜💜

As expected, I read this book in one sitting in one day. I'd heard nothing but good things about it, and after reading it, I can say that all the praise is entirely deserved. I don't know if I can express how impressed I was with this book. And this is the author's debut? I’m speechless. Anthony and Chance will remain in my head and heart forever. They are very different characters, but they both will steal your heart equally. I don't know which one I want to hug and support more. They've both been through so much in their lives. I don't remember when I read such an epic story about love and overcoming obstacles that stand in the way of a happy, peaceful life. Because of the traumatic experiences of main characters this story is more than just a romance novel you’ll reach for to unwind after a long day. It's a story that leaves a mark on your heart. Just as I thought, it broke mine into a million pieces and put it back together in the best way possible. I can't remember the last time I read a book and laughed and cried with the characters or screamed at my Kindle when they did something I didn't understand. This story brings all the emotions to the surface and leaves us with reflection. It's an incredible story that I will recommend over and over again. Personally, I love epilogues in books that show the characters' lives in the long run. So I could hug the author for what we got in this book. My favorite scenes, which I replay in my head: Chance trying to cheer Ant up in…
