Description

Porth Luck is a town built on secrets and the kind of quiet that hides deep, aching wounds. For Skylar and Mal, it is the only place left where they can attempt to piece their shattered lives back together. Skylar is a man weary from the demands of the medical field, seeking peace in a coastal town that offers him a fresh start. Mal, a veteran shaped by the rigid intensity of military life, carries his own heavy burdens, hiding behind a stoic exterior that rarely cracks. When their paths collide, the attraction is immediate, volatile, and deeply complicated. They are two broken souls circling one another, caught in a push-pull dynamic that threatens to unravel everything they have worked so hard to contain. This is not a story of easy redemption, but a raw, emotional journey of two men learning to trust again. In a landscape of small-town intimacy and high-stakes tension, Skylar and Mal must decide if they are going to tear each other apart or become the anchor the other desperately needs. Prepare for an intense, erotic, and heart-wrenching romance that proves healing is possible, provided you are brave enough to let someone in.

Just this once became forever

Emotionally.. I’m unwell. On a slow recovery back to love. Just like my baby Sky and Mal I will NEVER be able to read a G.L book and be the same after. She has an uncanny ability to write the best broken to slowly healing boys ever. Every book is a love letter to humans who need a little push to love again. Sky and Mal absolutely stole my heart. The finding of adorable puppy’s to heal over the cravenly pieces of rough hearts- 10/10 🖤🖤🖤🥰🥰🥰🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Great story!

This was a hard story to read…hard as emotionally damaging. Mal and Skylar were both hurting sooo bad. They made me cry! I was glad to finally understand why Skylar was the he was with Cam and the Rebel Kings. I wish it was different but then Mal wouldn’t have fit Skylar’s missing pieces. I’m not sure I’m ready for Jack and Sol’s story.

Broken attracts broken.

WOW. I am exhausted. A) no one sleeps in this book and B) the push pull between Mal and Skylar is exhausting. But this is a GOOD book, especially if you have read Devil's Dance and Saint's Song like I have. It was great to see Cam, Saint and a tiny bit of the skilled Alexi again. Two very broken men are in love before they realize it and need each other for sleep, for eating, for release, for grounding, for everything really. Found family and real family come together in a very good read.
