A great end to the Bright Falls trilogy
All of Iris Kelly's friends are in loving relationships but after a failed relationship and being the unknown mistress in another, she believes she isn't built for relationships. One night she goes to her favorite queer bars and meets Stevie Scott from across the room. After a failed one-night stand between the two, they meet up again during auditions for a play. They proceed to enter a fake relationship where Iris gets inspiration for her second romance novel while Stevie gets lessons in how to be confident. Two gorgeous queer women in a fake relationship…what could possibly go wrong?
Iris Kelly is the friend we all need…always there for her friends and family. She's the friend you wish would think higher of herself. This was a sweet fake relationship story done right. There are such sweet moments between the two women that you can't help but smile. The spice level in this book was off the charts. There is one bedroom scene that shows the sexual tension between the women perfectly. I'm so glad I picked it up and finished this trilogy.

Iris Kelly Doesn’t Date is a dual POV fake-dating romance. Iris is happy her friends are paired off and in love, but she doesn’t see that future for herself, content instead to avoid the drama of relationships in favor of the occasional hook up. After a disastrous attempt at a one-night-stand with Stevie, she never expects to see her again, but they run into each other at a community theater production Iris is auditioning for. Stevie convinces Iris to pretend to be her girlfriend, to get her well meaning friends off her back and convince her ex, the director, that she’s moved on. In exchange, Stevie will help Iris, who’s facing writers block, find a spark of romance for her new book.
I really loved this series and Iris and Stevie’s story was a great conclusion. I loved the representation of Generalized Anxiety Disorder in Stevie, and really felt for Iris as she struggled against her feelings of not being enough or worthy. This was a really sweet ending to the Bright Falls series!

Iris and Stevie are probably some of the realest characters that Blake has written. Stevie’s anxiety disorder was done in a way that made me feel so understood. It was beautiful and I absolutely adore Stevie and would literally fight Iris for this strong, beautiful, genuine human.
After the most fumbled meet cute, Iris and Stevie are thrust together due to mishaps that are sparked by one another’s insecurities. Fake dating is the only logical solution. But when you put a wild card with a romantic, a beautiful friendship and relationship. Astrid’s drawings were so well written that I could picture it in my mind every time. I laughed. I cried. I screamed (in my head) and scoffed. Honestly, this closing of this friend group was wonderful and I’m sad it’s ending but happy to have shared in its unfurling.

A Contemporary, Queer Love Story to Fall For!
Book 3, and sadly the final, of Blake's Bright Falls series gives us another contemporary queer love story to fall for between Iris and Stevie. From their disastrous first night together to the vulnerable moments they find themselves in while fake dating, I was rooting for these two. Full of the steam and humor I have come to love from this series, I was smitten with this book. Iris Kelly is surrounded by love with her closest friends living out their HEAs. Stevie is single, after ending a long relationship with one of her best friends, who is now dating their third best friend.
Making it difficult for Stevie to truly move on. What's a girl to do when constantly faced with their relationship but create a fictional love interest after a disastrous encounter? Who would think the woman would walk into the theater where she is currently cast with a starring role, looking for a bit part to help her get past her current romance writing block?
From the moment Iris Kelly goes along with Stevie's lie, wanting to use it for her own purposes - you know things are going to get complicated. So many lies, so much pretense. Can they tell what's real when they truly begin to get to know each other and feelings begin to develop? I enjoyed both characters but I found how Iris dealt with and cared for Stevie's anxiety especially endearing. I was so excited that we got so many glimpses of the couples from the 2 previous books. I'm sad this series has ended but I was so happy to get a kind of…
