Silvia Violet does it again! I’m so addicted to this series and this book didn’t disappoint. Rafe and Zach were exactly what I needed. I knew they’d be pure fire together and my expectations were more than met. Zach wanted to bring down Ivanov at all costs. Even if that meant infiltrating the Theriot family’s casino. As an undercover FBI agent, Zach knew the risks of getting involved with the dangerous mafia family, but he needed to end Ivanov’s reign of terror. When Rafe catches Zach cheating in his casino, the first thought on his mind was how beautiful Zach was. He was immediately taken by the man, Rafe just wanted him. His Forbidden Alliance by Silvia Violet is the 3rd book in her Forbidden Mafia series. I suggest you read the others first to understand this Mafia world and the backgrounds of the reoccurring characters. It is the story of a cousin of the Mafia boss and an FBI agent who both want to take down another crime boss and how they fall in love as they both seek the vengeance they want for people he hurt. Zach has been an FBI agent for 10 years and has become more dissatisfied with the job as time has gone by. He has seen and done many things and thinks he could be on his final assignment, especially because he doesn’t like following rules and has been breaking them more and more often and may be asked to leave. But before he goes, he wants to take down Andrei Ivanov who has been trafficking and doing unspeakable things to children. He thinks he has a way to do it but first he has to make sure the Theriots, the Mafia in New Orleans, are not involved and his way in is through their casino, The Casino Fortuna, which is run by the boss’s nephew, Rafael Theriot. He discusses his plans with his boss, Maria, who is not sure about them, but she gets him what he needs to get into the casino to see what he can find out. Rafael is the youngest of 3 brothers and always did outlandish things to get their attention, often involving other men and women in compromising positions. This was a good mafia romance with an enemies like quality. It had its spicy moments and the tender ones. My only issue is that there was some editing issues with names and pro-nouns getting mixed up, it didn't take away from the overall story though.

Zach is an undercover FBI agent and is trying to capture Ivanov and Rafe runs the family casino. They meet when Zach gets caught counting cards and strike up an alliance. They can't keep their hands to themselves, and the sex is very primal. The whole family crosses over into this book as Rafe tries to prove he is grown up and responsible and finds his HEA with Zach. I absolutely loved this series of morally grey mafia family who find their one and only.
