Description

Lydia Cross, KC, is a titan of the courtroom, defined by her lethal precision, unshakeable control, and a reputation for never losing. She thrives on cold, hard facts, leaving no room for messy emotions—least of all for Priya Sharma. But when the two are pitted against one another in a high-stakes pharmaceutical fraud trial at the Old Bailey, the professional barriers Lydia has spent a lifetime fortifying begin to crumble. As the intensity of the trial grows, so does their undeniable magnetism, transforming the courtroom into a landscape of strategic tension and hidden longing. What starts as a fierce legal battle quickly descends into a heated tug-of-war of wills. Their collision is as ruinous as it is inevitable. To surrender to Priya, Lydia must confront the life of careful camouflage she has maintained to protect her status and keep her private life hidden from her family. This is more than a romance; it is a profound journey of self-discovery where the price of love is the ultimate vulnerability. In the high-pressure world of law, can the girl who always wins finally learn how to let go?

Excellent book!

This is my second book by this author. I personally prefer my sapphic novels with more dominant/sub characters, and this is not that, nor did I expect it to be, based on the description. What I enjoyed was how well this story was written. The crafting of both sides of the court case I found fascinating, the characters were well developed, and I simply love this writer’s style of expression. A big added bonus is that the writing was simply flawless. By that I mean I didn’t have to wade through AI generated garbage or poor editing. Everything was perfect. I must say that I still found the spicy scenes to have plenty of heat. Well done, and thank you for an interesting read!

ridiculous

My gosh. Good story if you want to know every movement the MCs make. Life too short for this nonsense ..again a good storyline that should have taken up 100 pages.

Flawed

This could have been a very good book. What it needed was a thorough edit. Characters were confused. There was a lot of repetition, especially the sex scenes. Things that were supposedly gone suddenly reappeared. It was unfortunate because there was also some great writing.
