Description

Lux Schroeder is the ultimate thrill-seeker, drifting through life between high-stakes parties and short-lived flings. However, her carefree existence shatters when her wealthy parents demand she secure a respectable future or forfeit her entire inheritance. Desperate to maintain her lifestyle, Lux inadvertently crosses paths with Sloane White, a powerful, guarded mogul who treats her heart with the same iron-clad discipline as her business empire. When a public mishap throws the two women into a media firestorm, Sloane proposes a scandalous solution: a calculated fake relationship to rehabilitate their public images. For the ice queen, it is strictly business. For the vivacious Lux, it is a game she intends to win. But as they play the part of the perfect couple, the barrier between performance and reality begins to crack. Underneath the glossy photos and scripted dates, a volatile chemistry ignites, one that neither woman is prepared to handle. As their carefully constructed facade begins to fray, Lux and Sloane must decide if they are willing to risk their reputations—and their hearts—for the sake of a truth neither expected to find. This sizzling, high-stakes romance kicks off the Midnight Garden series, blending sharp wit with undeniable, simmering tension.

Can a Playgirl Socialite and an aloof Club Owner Rise to the Challenge or Fall in Flames?

3.5⭐️ Overall I loved the premise and tension between the MCs. The spice was very nice and well written. It also flowed well throughout. Their chemistry was off the chart. Lux had decent character development. She started off very a very annoying, self-centered playgirl. With just a tiny bit of responsibility and support, she started to grow and mature. Her character became more likable and real. Some of the back and forth between Lux and Sloane was repetitive, which caused those emotions and responses to fall flat in my opinion. I think it’s worth the read if you like sapphic kink and romance. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Ok

This book was written well, but neither character's stakes were high enough for me to care. I didn't get ice queen vibes from the supposed ice queen, more like she was emotionally stunted. All in all, a decent quick read with some spice.

Sexy Ice Queen

This was my firs book by Alexis Moss and I will definitely check out her other books. This was a sexy/spicy with some angst thrown in! I really enjoyed the main characters and their friends. This book was written well and a fast read! I enjoyed the plot/storyline as I love a good ice queen trope. I highly recommend this and you will not be disappointed.
