Description

Ethan is a hopeless romantic desperate for a love story, so when he discovers an ancient spellbook, he decides to take matters into his own hands. Armed with improvised ingredients and a whole lot of optimism, he sets out to summon Cupid. Instead, he accidentally rips Malphas—an eternal screw-up and arguably the worst demon in the Infernal archives—straight out of his dusty filing cabinet in Hell and into his living room. Malphas is desperate to trade up from his menial labor by proving he can actually be diabolical. When he realizes he can claim Ethan’s soul by granting his request, he agrees to help the human woo his long-time crush. The problem? Malphas isn’t exactly a master of human connection, and Ethan is far too sweet to be a good target for corruption. As they navigate the hilarious minefield of modern dating, the barrier between the demonic and the divine begins to crumble. What starts as a simple bargain of convenience quickly spirals into an unexpected, heartfelt connection. Packed with chaotic mishaps and supernatural hijinks, this rom-com proves that even a demon who can’t get anything right might just be perfect for the job of finding love.

Definitely worth the read

Loved this book enough to continue the series (I do like the wimpiest vampire a little better tho tbh. I think that’s book 2) 10/10 would recommend.

so fun

Super fun read. Mal really is incompetent in the most adoring way. Ethan nerdy librarian summons Mal to fall in love with icky Kyle. Love, love, love the Ethan has no filter scene!!! I didn’t see The surprise ending which was perfect.

Quick Read

It was a quick read and a cute story. Low spice. Trying to summon Cupid, but getting a demon instead is a collosal mishap, and yet, it somehow only works in romance novel!
