S.D. Simper is an auto-buy author for me
Oops! Somehow, I forgot to review "Heart of Silver Flame" and only now noticed it, several years after reading it. My bad! Anyway, perhaps the most relevant thing I can say about it is that even though I read it about five years ago I still remember most of the plot and the scenes between Tallora and Dauriel so it's safe to say that it was quite memorable. I do prefer S.D. Simper's other series "Fallen Gods" a little better, but this was also an amazing trilogy from an incredible author.
S.D. Simper is an auto-buy author for me.
Sequels are usually hard to get right, but this one is amazingly done!
An amazing follow-up to an already incredible series. From the first page to the last, this book held me spellbound. The world-building is exquisite, and the characters are so vivid they practically leap off the page. The story is a perfect blend of adventure, romance, and mystery, making it impossible to put down!
Also I have no idea if I'm more in love with Dauriel or Tallora..... It's a bit stressful, to be honest.

The first of this series was a book of passion.
This one is a book of heartbreak. I felt so bad for Tallora and Daruiel. The ending of this book was unexpected, but a good twist, even if it left me heartbroken. Also, I wasn’t expecting Hermaeus Mora to appear at the end there. Anyone get the skyrim reference? Lol
S. D. Simper doesn't disappoint!
S.D. Simper has done it again. Heart of Silver Flames is every bit as good as The Fate of Stars! I read it in one sitting, could not put it down. There is love and war and peace and trouble stirring. The balance is so beautifully written and she keeps you on your toes. I would recommend all her books to anyone because they are so detailed, so well planned and thought out. It's clear that she loves the world her books are set in and I must say I love FALLEN GODS too. You can't help but admire the creativity and detail in every scene. Book #3 Death's Abyss can't come out fast enough.

Buy this book! You won't regret it!
The only thing you'll regret is the wait until the third book comes out!
We join Tallora six months after Fate of Stars ends, and it has been a long and lonely time for her back home beneath the sea in Stelune. Much to her chagrin, she is now known as the Great Survivor, and merfolk use her story to stir up unrest against Solviria. And her heart is unable to forget the empress she left behind.
Moratham is seeking an alliance with the merfolk against Solvira, so with the help of a sea witch and the prince, Tallora embarks on a quest to bring peace to her home.
Empress Dauriel Solivieris is still very much in love with Tallora, but the news she and her princely companion brings puts her in a difficult position. She is not merely a woman, free to love as she chooses, but the empress who must put her duty to her people before her own heart.
Will they overcome all odds and find happiness together? We'll have to wait until Death's Abyss to find out!
