I'm honestly not sure why I was so surprised how much I loved this book. It has all the tension and hidden history that makes you want to keep flipping pages. While you are digging deeper into the past of Griffin & Jack, you just feel like they are the best pairing honestly. The Age gap only plays a little bit into their issues- but honestly their lust for each other is what is driving them closer together. Griffin is a quiet, one eyed mechanic girl dad just trying to live his truth in life, but his attraction to Jack drives him slightly crazy. Jack is trying to avoid his past and future, but his attraction to Griffin drives him to the perfect distraction. Griffin is influenced by his school buddies to join a beer league hockey club, and while he is fighting to avoid getting on the ice again- it's safe to say it's perfect that he laced himself up again. What he isn't expecting... is his lust interest being his biggest opponent. This is a story fueled by personal honesty and truth- and the growth from it. From confronting the past, finding out the truth and finally giving into the lust and love swirling through the pages- the book has it all honestly. The story as a whole was well written, kept me involved and I read it in one sitting. Fun, sweet, sexy. Griffith, divorced, 2 young girls, barely out of the closet. Jack, young, struggling, wants Griffith. Watching these two men circle each other was a hoot. Their friends were supportive and crazy.
