In the mist-shrouded town of Oakhaven, the local cemetery is more than just a final resting place—it is the epicenter of a chilling mystery that refuses to stay buried. When a series of unexplained deaths begins to plague the community, two women from entirely different worlds are forced into an uneasy alliance to stop the carnage. As they track a killer who seems to vanish into the shadows, the tension between them begins to simmer into a raw, undeniable attraction that proves far more dangerous than the secrets they are uncovering. Graveyard Girls is the ultimate gothic treat, perfect for those long, dark autumn nights. Steeped in evocative, atmospheric imagery and punctuated by the persistent presence of stray cats stalking through the headstones, this novella masterfully balances suspense with smoldering sapphic romance. Sapphically pleased 😄 😈

Title: graveyard girls Author: Kat Blackthorne Genre: sapphic romance/murder mystery Rating: 💫5/5 Quick summary: When a witch who can’t forget meets a graveyard keeper who can’t remember. Together they discover a love that lingers beyond the grave and a mystery that cannot be buried. Together, the two fall into a haunting romance, confronting grief and loss, through steamy encounters and their undeniable attraction. However, all is not what it seems in Hollows Grove, as the mystery of three recent graves multiplies as the killer is still on the loose. Some secrets, and spirits, refuse to stay buried. And sometimes one-sided love is the greatest haunting of all. ✨ what I loved 🥰: That she wrote the book for her love and real life partner. And I enjoyed seeing her believe in herself to try a new trope. Favorite quote: “You are the sunshine in my graveyard. Your light has awakened my bones.” 🎯 who is this for?: Spooky vibes for fall Ghost lovers Sapphics Mystery fans Final thoughts 💭: It was a great palette cleanser quick read that gave me all the spice I could’ve wanted! I love the way Kat writes so poetically. The imagery is evocative and really brings you into the story.

3.5⭐️

This was an interesting read, but it’s advertised as a murder mystery. That felt like more of a background subplot to the romance. It was like the mystery was solved without anyone really doing much of anything. I did figure out the twist pretty much immediately too. The town was really cool, and it gave spooky vibes. The end was sweet. I’m glad we got answers, but they felt like they just conveniently handed to the characters. If you’re looking for a paranormal love story with a little mystery, this is it! If you’re like me and hoping for the mystery aspect, it’s there but more as a background/subplot. 🏔️ Cliffhanger: nope 🌶️Spice: there were 5 spicy scenes. It did feel like some of the scenes came out of the blue. Lunette is so in love with her dead finance yet wants to do things with Shiloh to forget. That part was a little confusing until maybe the end then it made some sense. Overall, this was a decent read.

Good one

A spooky and spicy sapphic novella with a lot of cats and the power of true love. A graveyard keeper met a witch, and so it had begun. The instant attraction and invisible string connecting Shiloh and Lunette was palpable. The cozy murder mystery part wasn’t too complicated, but it was enough to hold interest. It was well-written, interesting and kind of sweet. A quick and quite enjoyable read and a very nice story for an autumn evening.
