Excited for a New Series!
I really love the Necromancer of Boston series and how the books build plot through the series. I love that there is actual plot in addition to romance and how the plot unfurls across multiple books. I would not have thought the Necromancer of Boston books would end up where they went and hope the same is true of this new series.
I am also excited to have an expanded universe and new information that builds on stuff we know from the prior series. New underhills can be created?!?! More people are hiding from (and have been threatened by) the council?!?!? Looking forward to the next book!
Love these two! Original characters, great story and lots of show not tell. Such an original idea and so many ideas for the series!
I will give this book a 4/5. I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them. This book did not let me down. Ezra is a necromancers that gets called to Canada for a job. A relic has been found that has the power to destroy the world if left unchecked. He meets Raum who is part fairie. The two men start working together and develop feelings for each other. But they must take care of the relic before it destroys the country.

Amazing start of this spinoff series
I loved reading this story, it's so much fun, packed with action under with so many unexpected twists and turns it was nearly impossible to put down. The characters are are amazing! They're well written likeable and with plenty of depth and quirks. It's set in the same world as the necromancer of Boston, and although there are some references to the characters of this first series, they don't play an active role. I can't wait for the next one.
If i could give more stars, I would. Like all of her books, this is amazing. Excellent character development, a good mystery/trial to solve, and of course romance. The side characters are well written, the magic is on point. Ezra being neurospicy was so well written that I felt like I was reading about myself in some parts. I could completely identify with so much of the character. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
