Gabe finds his fated mate
I enjoy these short reads with an alpha finding his fated omega through an overnight stop at the Mates Motel in a tiny town along the highway. Alpha wolf shifter Gabe is trying to get an extra day away before another confrontation with his father over him taking over as pack alpha. Gabe is reluctant because he hasn’t found his fated omega yet, and if he accepts now, he will need to stop looking and choose a suitable omega within the pack, losing any chance of finding the mate the goddess has chosen for him. Luckily for him, the Mates Motel seems to be dialed into the goddess and fated mates, and Gabe finds his in the form of Temple, a human, half wolf omega working at the local diner.
Kicked out of their pack because of Temple’s birth, his brothers have abused him for years, contributing nothing while Temple works to provide for all four. When the brothers accost Temple outside the diner where he works just as Gabe is coming for a meal, Gabe’s wolf instantly recognizes his mate, and he steps in. Since Temple doesn’t have an inner wolf, he doesn’t get the “mate” message, but there is a pull toward this alpha he cannot explain, he just feels safe and seen around him. With a little help and nudge from his friends, the owners of the diner, Temple stays with Gabe that night, Gabe keeping vigil over his sleeping mate until he can bring him up to speed the next day.
Temple is happy to consider being Gabe’s mate, but Gabe wants him to be sure he likes the pack, the pack lands, and…

An amazing story. Gabes Alpha father wants to retire and is pressuring Gabe to take over as Alpha of the pack. Gabe knows if he takes over as alpha he has to also take a mate. But he wants to find his true mate. So he checks into a motel so he doesnt have to go back home.
Temple has been working at the diner and trying to save money so he could run away from his abusive brothers. When they find his stash, they come to the diner to confront him. Temple thinks this would be his last day but then is saved by someone. He runs into the diner to get away from his brothers, but the one who saved him also comes in to get something to eat.
The moment Gabe smells his mate he knows he could never stay away. So after saving Temple he goes into the diner to find out more about him. He also threatens Temples brothers so they would stay away.
Now that Gabe has found his mate he is ready to take over as alpha. But will Temple agree to leave town with him?
Loved reading their story. Thanx.

Building a better future together
I instantly loved Gabe. Gabe was so protective of Temple and didn't hide the truth from Temple. While Temple's life is shown to be miserable I was glad he had found a family in his coworkers. Both of these characters where great and likeable. And while Temple's brothers where abusive it is only shown on page one time. So if you don't like reading about abuse you could simply skip that part as it's not long. Other than that it was a beautiful story of two men finding their happily ever after.

Gabe is the hero everyone needs. This story is about a conflicted alpha wolf being pressured to take over his pack so his dad can retire, but he is holding out for his fated mate. Temple is an omega with a latent wolf because his omega father cheated with a human. Gabe shows up when Temple needs him most, and Temple’s lack of a wolf isn’t an obstacle. These two click, and then everything starts to come together. Loved this story, and these two characters. Especially love this town and all the residents!
