Description

The summer of 1994 in Paige Point feels eternal, trapped beneath a canopy of pines and the heavy, humid silence of small-town expectations. For seventeen-year-old Clara, life is a series of carefully rehearsed performances until she meets Julianne. With her restless spirit and a secret she keeps tucked behind a camera lens, Julianne disrupts the quiet rhythm of Clara’s world, igniting a connection that is as terrifying as it is inevitable. What begins as stolen glances and whispered conversations in the flickering light of the local cinema quickly deepens into a profound, hidden devotion. In a town where everyone knows everyone else’s business, their growing feelings are a fragile secret they must guard against the prying eyes of neighbors and the weight of tradition. This is a story of first love in its rawest, most transformative form—the kind that leaves you breathless and forever changed. Written with a refreshing, lyrical intimacy, this novel captures the ache of self-discovery and the electric uncertainty of youth. It is a heartfelt journey through the butterflies of early romance and the courage required to be truly seen. If you have ever wondered what it means to find yourself in someone else, Paige Point is waiting for you.

Love at first, blush.

This book makes me remember when I was younger and just figuring stuff out. How do I feel? do I does she... All the feels ( and butterflies)! It's wonderful! I love the time period, I love the dual dialogue of both women's perspective and they are very different but complementary. It's a wonderful read.

Unexpected

I didn’t expect the way this book was written and never have o read a book written quite like it but it was unexpectedly refreshing. The way the main character is also the writer is a fresh take on storytelling. This book didn’t disappoint and I’m hoping the second book which is basically the next chapter continues to impress and carry me through Tess and Katy’s world because diving into them has been one of the better books I’ve read this year. If you pick it up it definitely won’t disappoint you, it may frustrate you and give you a vast amount of emotions but it definitely will keep you hooked.

Fall in love!!

I went into reading this book thinking "some light reading for a glue January day". I came away having fallen in love with book characters! The fact that it has taken this long for a relatable storyline for those of us in same sex relationships always baffled me. The thing was, they were waiting for Rebecca Dayne to write it! This new author came right out of the gate with a winner. The book is for EVERYONE, but feeling included for once is definitely the cherry on top! Loved the perspective writing style and thankfully book 2 is done, or our girl would have left us hanging for more! So make sure you buy both!!!
