Description

In the vibrant world of Femme Like Her, love is anything but simple. This captivating anthology dives deep into the complexities of desire, identity, and the magnetic pull between women who command the room. Blending high-stakes drama with intimate, smoldering chemistry, these stories celebrate the unique allure of femme-on-femme relationships. At its heart, the collection shines for its remarkably relatable characters. Rather than relying on tired tropes or over-the-top misunderstandings, the narratives capture the raw, honest evolution of attraction. Whether navigating the thrill of a new spark or the tension of long-standing longing, each story feels authentic, grounded, and deeply human. The pacing is pitch-perfect, offering enough pulse-pounding excitement to keep readers hooked for hours, paired with slow-burn emotional payoffs that satisfy long after the final page. Fiona Zedde and her fellow contributors have crafted a must-read for anyone seeking a romance that is both unapologetically steamy and emotionally resonant. With its sharp writing and vivid portrayals of modern love, Femme Like Her is a refreshing, sophisticated exploration of what it means to fall for a woman who mirrors your own grace, strength, and fire. It is, quite simply, a beautifully told love letter to the feminine experience.

Interesting read!

This book was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it. Characters inside were fun, adventurous and outgoing. If I could change anything it would be to get to the points a bit quicker. Other than that it was a nice touch on romance, reality and relatable truths. (Not mine) but it definitely is an interesting read. Good job Fi!

I LOVE THAT FIONA ZEDDE!

When I learn that Fiona Zedde has a new novel out, I am on my way to get it! These days, I love ebooks, so my Kindle is primed and ready to pick up her latest titles...like now. A few minute ago, I was posting this novel, FEMME LIKE HER, to my Twitter feed and, of course, I noticed that Zedde had new reads to be devoured. Indeed, you got it. They will be on my Kindle before you can finish reading this review. No, I cannot check it out from the library. Mind you, I adore the Libby System. But, bae bae, I purchase Zedde's! ¿Por qué amo las novelas de Fiona Zedde? As a writer, I have ever loved her settings, characters, drama, romances, language, wit, themes and sheer intelligence, all going into what it takes to weave a beautiful web, a lovely yarn, to keep me wholly engaged for hours. I'm that reader who never wants to close her pages, so when I find myself arriving at the end of her stories, I inevitably read s l o w e r. I don't want the story to end. I love the lushness of her storytelling, of her language. I backstroke in her character descriptions. I move vicariously with the characters, their experiences mine. Yep, I fall in love with her characters, over and over again. That Nailah is just sharp, strong, hard working, family oriented and ambitious. Things are momentarily falling apart for her, but she keeps the faith and forges ahead. Thank goodness a girl can do that with a fabulous family and a great friend! And that pretty little Scottie! Well, sexy, tall Scottie!…

I would definitely…

Recommend this book. The story is cute and the twist is a doozy. The main lead character is frustrating but her growth however small does leave room for future books.

Really enjoyed this!

Overall: 4/5 Spice level: 2.5/5 Tropes: sapphic, femme 4 femme, fling to forever This was a new to me author. I'm always looking for more FF stories so I took a chance. I did enjoy the story, though there were some details/things I wish would've been included. The whole story was from Nailah's POV but I wish Naima's (Scottie) would've also been written. There was also the small detail of Nailah's age. I don’t remember it being explicitly stated, though Naima's is. Not a big deal, just something I thought about. Also, the characters never make declarations of love, at least not outwardly to each other. They just "like" each other. There was chemistry, definitely. And I liked Scottie's bold personality. The way she took charge and went for what she wanted. The spice level was moderate at best. I hoped for more. I also enjoyed the small details included from Nailah's Jamaican background. I also wish there would've been more to the ending or an epilogue included. Overall, it was a decent read and I'll continue to the next book.
