Differentials that made a difference: vampire shifters that didn't maintain their human form but transformed to part bat with wings and part deformed humanoid. Lots of familial loss and conflict. Sisterhood and laughter. All good stuff. Happy Reading
The stone cold bodyguard Dylan, and deaf mobster daughter Amara - an interesting combination for sure, and as always, there is much more going on that meets the eye. An arranged marriage, that is just for show, but given the spark between them when they first lay eyes on each other, it's always inevitable that it would become something more.
It is an enjoyable follow up to the first book, and nice to see the members of the coven again. The initial journey for Dylan and Amara is rough, as expected, but there are some tender and spicy moments, and it is satisfying when they finally come together. They're a cute couple, very much meant for each other. And of course certain characters get what they deserve. There isn't much added to the lore, but then again there doesn't need to be. It's a fast paced and easy read, and I am looking forward to the next book.
I will admit that I am also curious if some of the other supernaturals that turn up are from one of her other series?
But yeah, a fun read, especially for vampire fans.
Again Chloe had me reading this book within a day. I tried to read slow, but it was just too good. I love the slow burn of Dylan and Amara’s love. And the spice scenes are definitely spicy. I thought the sweet thing was how all of Dylan’s friends learned sign language to Amara could understand them.

The hateful Don, the deaf daughter, the tormented vampire, the Russian dragon shifters, all this was a new twist for me that I hadn't encountered before. I loved it. Well done, well written. You should definitely give it a try.

I have enjoyed every book that Chloe Peterson has written. The love of Dylan and Amara can be felt from beginning to end.
