Description

Deep within the veil of a hidden realm, ancient myths aren’t just legends—they are a dangerous way of life. Fairies Never Fall invites readers into an enchanting tapestry of high-stakes magic, where the rigid rules of the fae courts collide with the inconvenient, burning intensity of unexpected love. At the center of this mesmerizing tale is an intricate dance between Lysander and Ezra, two souls whose connection defies every decree of their warring worlds. As they navigate a landscape shimmering with ethereal beauty and treacherous political machinations, they must decide if their burgeoning bond is worth shattering the traditions that have sustained their kind for centuries. This anthology masterfully blends immersive world-building with the raw, emotional urgency of an MM romance. Whether it is through stolen glances in moonlit glades or the desperate struggle to protect one another from looming catastrophe, the story breathes new life into classic fairy lore. It is a breathtaking exploration of devotion, sacrifice, and the courage it takes to choose a partner over destiny. For those who crave romance that transcends the ordinary and magic that feels dangerously real, this collection is an unforgettable journey into the heart of the fae.

It’s a great storyline…

Honestly. The climax felt a bit lackluster to me as the details weren’t descriptive enough in my opinion. And don’t even get me started on the epilogue because it’s really a HFN not an HEA because of the abrupt end to the story. This is my first book by the author & the writing was very interesting & I will also admit that I may be comparing this book to a different one by another author which is definitely not a fair assessment. I did find it interesting that the author chose to make all fairies basically flightless though it seemed to diminish Lysander’s lack of a fourth wing, instead of bringing him forward & making him truly an oddity within the monster realm to then make his choices stand out more because honestly Ezra was the more interesting and developed character as were some of the monsters who worked at the bar, making Lysander a forgettable character for me. It’s too bad because I don’t see myself picking this book up to read it if I owned it.

Really enjoyable. 3.5 stars for specific reasons below.

I enjoyed this new world, but where do we go from here? Presumably more humans will be brought into this world of monsters that is living in (Almost)plain sight amongst humans. The world built here is unique and was fun to read about but a few things missed the mark for me. Ezra is human and is suddenly thrust into this world of monsters that he never knew existed, yet he doesn’t need to be taught what any of them are? I read a lot of supernatural fiction yet there were several monsters depicted here that I’ve never heard of or don’t know much about or the author decided to do her own spin on it, yet barely any of the monsters are ever explained to Ezra. Somehow, though, he is able to identify many of them on sight. And the author doesn’t explain many of them so we’re just supposed to know what they are? Even though I praised the world building , I’m realizing now that I enjoyed the uniqueness but c’mon, you gotta cover the basics. We’re flying blind here! And a few things were brought up early but barely explored. Lysander’s skin is poisonous to other supernatural (are they all fae?) so he can’t be touched, right? It’s a good setup for him being touched starved and enjoying being restrained and liking humans, who can touch him. But we’re told and not shown. He lives in a crowded bar and is somehow able to navigate crowded dance floors without ever touching a soul. And then at other times, lots of people touch him, but just briefly or with gloves on, so they’re okay? If…

Silly and Cute

This was a fun little easy read. Lysander and Ezra were cute and I enjoyed how they started to become friends and then begin their relationship. Together they gave each other the TLC they were missing and their little found family helped them both a lot too. The book definitely needed some edits and the relationship needed some more scenes of them actually bonding and not just spice to be believable with how quick it moved, but it was still very entertaining. Now im curious if other couples that were hinted at in this book will get their own future HEAs. A human walks into a bar

I enjoyed this take on the supernatural human world. We find the lone human thrust into the world of supernatural. Ezra is pretty hard on himself after getting in trouble with the law but he finds his place in the most unlikely bar and with someone unexpected,Lysander. I liked the way the relationship developed and had a lot of comfort. The story was definitely aided by all the side characters who added to the story. Hope we get to see the side characters happy endings.
